It rips the Heroin or whatever off the receptors easily, replacing the strong full agonism with halfass partial agonism, reversing the OD

ya honestly in a life or death situation, this isnt the worst thing to do. i would prolly give it to em sublingually and do rescue breathing till it takes effect. the worst that could come out of it would be that the person would be in hard core withdrawls afterward, but better that then dead. i have to say, although DF is right, i would do the same thing in that situation. bupe binds way stronger to the receptors than H does, so it kicks the H out, and occupies the receptors, reversing the overdose. way to think on your feet dude, i would have been sitting there for an hour doing rescue breathing, cause ive seen that work, i would never think to administer bupe. good thinking bro. glad to hear everyones alright.

1) I'm only suggesting; I'm not a DOCTOR in no way shape or form. I haven't studied even ONE MONTH of medical school. MEDICALLY speaking i have no idea what the fuck I am talking about.

2) When I came on here, you have to put yourself in my shoes..... seriously.. I was just "post" freak out stage... yes an ambulence prob. would have been the best bet. HOWEVER we live in a VERY persecuting-society... it sucks. We FEAR calling the ER because everybody knows it can lead to a bust. In OTHER countries they consider health first, not this bullshit.

3) I was in a VERY desperate situation. I didn't know what to do. And as far as LAWSUITS go, I READ IT HERE ... that you can revive with subs.. so I didn't start this "idea" - DF it was ALREADY here... I can link the post if you want to see it.

It seemed like a good idea because honestly i had nothing to loose- the next step was ER: hospital and jail for HIM, possible jail for ME. We are BOTH on papers, it just didn't seem like the VERY FIRST thing I should have done. SWIM WAS giving CPR/MTM and it was "working" as far as breathing and pulse...

if it had gotten any worse, consequences be damned, SWIM would have 9-11'd. As far as LAWYERS and whatnot on this site, there's people posting links for percs/ultrams, the IDEA to do it... was POSTED here... SWIM wouldn't have even tried it if it didn't say on the brochure about precip' wd and would not have tried it if it wasn't posted here......

I'm a little more settled now. this kid is "safely" ass-ed out in the chair next to me. He seems very nonchalant about it... for having "almost died". I'm still a little shaky. This is my first time dealing with this bullshit, and I've been around the block - more than once.

I've NEVER actually had to DEAL with this shit: everyone else I've ever known KNOWS their dose and sticks w. it./ (And as far as me "not being around" - that's called rehab (again) and probation (which thankfully i'm off in three more weeks) ... besides, I was dealing with OTHER bullshit trying to legally get a smear site shut down (I don't even want to go INTO that,) which finally my lawyers and I did. I felt it was in the BEST interest of both THIS board and MYSELF to stay "off the internet" (actively anyways) and "lurk" until all three of the above conflicts were resolved. Now: 1) off papers (in a couple weeks anyways,) 2) smear site shut down (and still seeking "damages" - we'll see if I can even get a cent- prob. not,) and 3) on "subs" and going "through rehab- with lessons" ....

all in all, a lot of decent changes have taken place. I'm happy with where i'm at and I'm very happy this kid is switching between passing out and puking, and NOT dying on my floor. Bad night to start, good night to end.

if im thinking correctly if u put suboxone/subutex under the tounge it will bounce the opioids off of the receptors causing precp w/d. so u can do that. but shooting someone up that is not awake is only for an RN or a pheb or md . theres only 2mg of nalxoone in suboxone chances are u prob put him in precp w/d with the binding affinity of the bupe bouncing it off the opiate receptors.

I have always figured that in theory this would work because the buperenorhpine binds so strongly to the opiate receptors that it knocks anything else off. This is essentially what narcan and other antagonists do, and this is also why taking bupe too soon after your last dose of a pure agonist will cause precipitated wd's. Like I said, I have always thought that it should work but I have been fortunate enough not to have to try it on anyone. Knock on wood....

I of course wouldn't suggest it to anyone. If someone OD's, they need to get to the ER. But in your situation where ER was not an option, it seems to have worked perfectly.

Look: this isn't personal: this is harm reduction plus: non-medical types should not be shooting up passed out people...Learn and perform CPR until an ambulance arrives...It was wrong, and I don't care how much we think we know about "what drugs do" and 'what they contain" because *here's* what's really going to happen:
Some kid is going to read this, and believe it, particulary if they've seen Pulp Fiction...and they are going to have a friend overdose on them--(most of us in this life, have....and just about every serious heroin addict, that is alive after many years of this shit, is alive because somebody performed even rudimentary CPR on them...)

Talk about the makings of a lawsuit; there it is!

As far as understanding parents- yeah RIGHT! They barely know about his grass habit- this would have been a shot in the dark *(pun intended), but seriously...

ER was not really a choice. It was probably the "right" thing to do logically and morally, but he's happy with the way it turned out. I don't think he WOULD be very happy if he was chained to a hospital bed right now. Actually, by THIS point, he would have probably already been x-fered to gen-pop/arraignment. And for anyone who thinks "intake" at Cleveland downtown justice center jail is even remotely fun, I can PERSONALLY tell you from my eight hour "waiting to get bailed" experience that it is most certainly NOT fun. In fact, I would have to argue that it is the essence of "un-fun". Broken toilets, fowl-mouthed minorities, and "bull pens" designed to hold five or six people yet housing 18 or 20 people.... well, let's just say it sucks. No beds- just benches until you 1) get released (which takes all day, sometimes two days,) or 2) get "transfered" to the actual jail (upstairs- intake is in the dark and dingiest basement in all of Cleveland,) you don't even have your own blanket. No beds, just benches. No food, just "mustard" and "bad bologna" on shitty bread..I can assure you it is nasty. I can't even EAT mustard, so my one-day-of-hell was just great... trying to trim the fucking crust so I can get a few crumbs of food, sitting in an "air tight" "bull pen" with NO ventilation, dealing with broken overflowing toilets, people farting and wd/ing... oh my God the memories alone sting my very soul. Never again. The end of a rope sounds better... probably ISN'T better, but SOUNDS better.. :) I think I've made my point.

And to this bupe argument- (without "un-kissing up", it's ok tho DF loves me and I'm old hat around here,) I am quite POSITIVE it worked. I don't CARE if anyone says different- DON'T take my advice, seriously, don't even fucking SHOOT dope and everything will be furry and fine.... but in this case, in this SINGULAR INSTANCE, everything worked out just fuzzy-mc-bumpkins.

We got huge waves, today is the day... At 7 a.m. I gobbled a bunch of Norcos, zoomed down to clinic, did my 50mg mdone, and then came home and forced myself to get in wetsuit, guzzled my coffee and headed down to beach, 200 yds away from my house...about a 100 tourists and a couple news cameras, and I head out by the little jetty...after 20min I couldnt get out, nobody can...but there's too many people looking, so I head out by pier, catch riptide there, make it halfway out, and get sucked thru the pier to southside, but fuck it, keep swimming, make it halfway out, get sucked thru again--this has *never* happened, and I'm out in deep water, and only motherfucker out there, and I wave at lifeguard tower so they know I'm o.k., and float around a bit, make a couple half assed attempts to catch these 12-15 foot faced waves, and finally catch one most of the way in...feel like a hero, and lifeguard comes up, and says they got all kinds of calls, both 911 and patched thru, from idots thinking I was some old fool drowning out there...but they said they knew it was just me, and told'em it was cool...not bad for old junky :)
