how bad is too much tramadol?

I think I had about 300mgs assuming the liquid was 100 mgs per ml. But the bottle is in german so I'm not so sure. I'm feeling pretty fucked, almost passed out before. Also on pods but all this came on after a big bong hit...

Seizures have been reported from too much tramadol.

Wikipedia says a maximum of 400mg daily when taken orally.

I really think it's seratonin syndrome. Apparently citralopram & tramadol is a particularly bad combo. I been doing some reading and I just have to ride it out. Benzos help with seisures and general panick but i have to make do with alcohol which definately chilled me out. Fuck, I thought I'd done some permantnt damage to my brain for a bit. Felt like a bad trip. I won't be fucking with tramadol again.

Yeah, u'll be alright: I find a lot of the "lesser" opiates, like propoxyphene, and talwin, and ultram, and tramadol, and demerol, bring on that weird shit all the time... subs too, sometimes but it always passes, but it really is spooky...sort of taps me into a hyper-awareness state I don't like too much...but again, main thing to remember is, it'll pass, always does...but yeah, I always downed a beer or two when it came about....

Seretonin syndrome can be lethal, so be careful with those. I've taken tramadol while on cipramil before, but kept it below 250 mg because of the potentiation...

i used to take tons of tram when i used and didn't have anything else. it was upwards of 30 pills a day. i had sezures nearly every day. i ended my using career with a grand mull and a trip to the er, the doc knowing me and giving me fucking potassium with no saline in my iv so my arm fucking HURT for days. not to mention w/ding. the tram w/d is the same as nearly everything else. i couldnt lay still enough to get a damn eeg. also i faked 3 more sezures for benzos(the things we will do in the time of need).

I didn't think tramadol alone could give you seratonin syndrome could it? Well either way I know about the seizure risks so if I take a high dose I always maksure to take my Klonopin or other benzos with it. Last week I took 3 mg of Klonopin, around 650 mg of tramadol, and 50 mg of methadone. Fun night no ill effects.

^^ I think it was the combo of ssri's and it was the first time I've ever had more than 50mgs of tramadol. It wasn't just a seizure, that's for sure. It was like I'd just taken half a gram of mdma but without any of the good stuff.

Too much Tram is not good. Seizures- yep, peripheral edema, check. Plus I found it's no more effective at higher doses....be safe.

Tram has a kinda secret to it...

Don't do your doses at once. Take 50mgs every 30/45 minutes until you reach the desired dosage.
That way it is more enjoyable.

Take some muscle relaxant drug and you'll be able to have much more tramadol without risking seizures... Diazepam or clonazepam are good... Besides, SWIM thinks tramadol needs to be combined with benzodiazepines to give you an opioid feeling, otherwise it completly lacks downer properties in SWIM's opinion...

highest amount i've taken in 6hr period was 600 mg and just caught a buzz then seized...Tram is a wicked drug alone..other posts are right about mixing benzo's especially Klonipin (anti-seizure as well as tranquilizer) i have good reports on 400mg and 2-4mg Klonipin..."oldscratch"

This thread is a tad old but the most Tramadol i have taken at once was 550mgs. I did it all the time and never had a seizure. And I'd take about 45 pills a day. But, now i don't take that much, i knocked that off because i was scared I'd have a seizure eventually.

I mix Trams with pods all the time, infact that's what i am on right now, they work so good together. but, the most tramadol I'll take at a time now is about 350mgs - 6-7 pills. But now 7 is pushing it for me and i feel a bit funny.

Although I've never had a seizure that doesn't mean i won't ever have one. I'm sure if i kept at those high doses i would have had one. Just be careful with it. Some people aren't as lucky as myself.

The few times i felt i took to much my chin had involuntary movements and i felt like my heart was gonna expload. Scared the living shit out of me. That was about 2 years ago and like i said i knocked that shit off, to dangerous.

Oh and if you ever feel like you've taken to much start drinking lots of water to flush it out of your system. That's what i did the few times i took to much and it works. I once had a doctor tell me if you take to much medication, like not enough to overdose but enough to where you are feeling uncomfortable start drinking water to flush it out of your system and/or to help you throw more of it up. Well, i never used it to throw up but i did use water to flush it out of my system and it did work, after about 2 glasses of water i started to feel better.

In most cases ya just gotta ride it out. It will eventually wear off.

I'm just not real sure how I feel about Tramadol. Damn stuff makes me feel like I'm wigging for the first hour or two, the peak is nice if I've been off of opiates for a while, but it seems like one day its nice, mood lifting, energy, decent pain relief, I mean, nothing grand, but better than tylenol.

But then I'll take it another day and it doesn't do shit, nothing at all, sometimes the nod gets me good on these after about 6 hours, sometimes I just feel the SSRI effect, it just seems unpredictable. I just use it when I've run out of my Vicodin and can't find anything else, luckily I've had a pretty steady Oxy hook-up at work, ah well.

my avg was 40-50 200mg pills a day. oh god i dont even want to tell u how bad id feel but if i dind't have them id be sick. gosh id sweat puddles daily. and be so horrible feeling. you coulndt pay me to take tram now, even if i was still using
