There is really no way to answer your unusual question. The volume would depend on how coarse or fine the powder or crystals of the substance is/are. the only way a certain amount of heroin would have a definite volume that could be predicted accurately would be if it was in the form of a single crystal. You'd have to weigh the crystal, then measure the volume, then divide mass by volume to get the density. Densities also vary depending on temperature, usually not by much for solid substances, but more for liquids.

Anyway, if the stuff was a chunky powder, it would take up more volume than if it was a super-fine powder. The amount of compaction of the powder is still another variable to take into consideration. A very loosely packed sample of a certain mass would not take up as much volume as a tightly packed sample of the same mass. These factors can change the volume A LOT.

so, you see, it's kind of a non-answerable question. As to why this is so important, I have no idea. You'd have to grow huge, close-to-perfect crystals of heroin to find out the substance's density.

The Merck Index doesn't list a density for heroin, only that the melting point is 173C for the free base and 243-244C for the hydrochloride salt.

I hope you can find out what you need to know. If you just want to shoot up, you don't need to know the volume.

At first use only about the amount of a matchead. put it in the spoon dilute with a cc of water, if you must heat, do not bring it to a boil though, just mildly. If it's tar or some other non salted form just use slightly acidic water. Then suck it up through cotton. If it's not strong enough than use two matchheads or what ever amount suits your fancy.

I don't know what you're talking about with the "400 mg". If you were to take that amount as a virgin you'd get knocked on your ass.

If your saying, taking 400mg of heroin without a tollerance wuld just knock you on your ass, wouldnt that be a drastic understatement? 100mg of oxy can kill a person with no tollerance (respatory depression). I would think 400mg of heroin (almost a half gram!) would pretty much do you in.

I simply asked because my friend got this amount from her dealer and it's "not that big" as she claims. She's pretty annoyed even tho she got it for free (400 mg for fucking free!!!). It's an uncut, off-white powder. I havn't seen it (I believe she took it already) I couldn't face heroin again.

Wow, pretty annoyed even though she got it for free? Ever herad the saying, dont look a gift horse in the mouth?? This is what that saying was made for. Even 1 shot of free H is a great gift in my eyes.

And yes, 400 mg's of pure H would probably even kill a daily user in 1 shot. The matchead idea is the best one, that is probably the amount I would use at first, then re-evaluate.

I have to admit that I am very skeptical when someone says that they had "pure" heroin......but if that is true then someone is very lucky indeed,seeing that a kilo of pure here in the states goes for anywhere between $125,000-200,000!!! SO that little "400mg" amount would probably run for around,I'm not sure,maybe $200. "Pure" Heroin takes VERY little to knock your face into the dirt,or,even kill!! I would say HALF of a matchhead would be enough to waste someone or even kill them. "pure" heroin (if ever!) is very very SELDOM sold or even given to ANYBODY because of it's potential deadliness!!
Put it this way,when I watched a documentary( one of many I have seen) called ,"The Narco-State:World Epidemic" and in Part One the narrator was showing some of the "pure" Heroin right after it was processed and he said that the potency level's can vary,but usually (believe this or don't,it's up to you!!) a small dose the size of a big PINHEAD can be enough to get one person VERY FUCKED UP! Again,he re-iterated on how this depends on how well the whole process went,but usually,before the "cut" is added,all of the white "residue"(powder) is the substance of Heroin and that one gram can yeild a thousand strong doses,OR MORE!!. Heroin is most always cut before it is even SHIPPED OUT!! SO unless one makes the dope themselves,it is almost impossible to get really pure heroin!! The ratio of "cut" to "heroin" is also very high,almost unbelievable at how such a little "powder" can "pollute" so much cut!!
ANYWAYS,to have real pure dope( even 400mg!) is something that if one is "lucky" enough to acquire,then that person better be REALLY careful at how they "dose" themselves,or that person could end up dead!!
I may have slightly gotten this stuff a little off,but I am pretty sure that I am accurate for the most part...........a little research will go a lonnnggg way and someone could really benefit from it,in terms of safety anyways!so maybe that would be the best thing to do. If I ever had someone "give" ME "pure" heroin then I would probably(if I survived it all!!!) go back to that person and want MORE!!!!
