Well i posted a few weeks back about my experience with OxyContin's, Methadones, Percocets, and finally quitting all to go on Suboxone. I took Sub for about 2 months @ 16 mg's a day. I started to notice that i was getting hooked on them. My Doctor reccommended i stay on it for atleast 6 months. I didn't want to replace my addiction with another. My Doctor didnt know crap about my addiction or the best solution for what i was trying to achieve. All he cared about was my money for the visits. I explained to him that i didnt want Suboxone as a maintenance drug but he still insisted i stay on it longer. After 2 months, i stop going to his office and quit cold turkey. It was really bad after the end of the first week. I was extremely week and had cold chills for about 2 days. I reccomend getting some muscle relaxants for some sleep. I just slept all week. After the first week, i went out and got some multi-vitamin packets with Anti-Oxidants. The best i found for this purpose is Usana 100 pack, available only through Sales Reps for Usana. Quite expensive, 100 dollars for a month supply but for me it's worth it. If you're interested visit www.Usana.com to locate a sales rep. I started to come back to reality after the second week. I've been clean of any opiates for 3 weeks now. Yesterday, i went to another doctor for Prozac. I explained my situation and she gave me 2 scripts for Prozac. As of now, my body feels good but my mind is still out there. Slowly my strength is coming back to me. Hopefully, Prozac will help with my depression although the worst of the depression has passed. After the first week, You will notice that things tend to get better. I just take it one day at a time. As of now, i am done with opiates. If anybody has any quesions, feel free to send me a PM. Good luck to all and if you plan to quit, you can do it.

I know everyone has their own plans etc and what works best for them is the best way to go. But for me I would never do this unless someone promised me millions of bucks if I went off my suboxone 24mg a day and go through all that misery. I must congratulate you for making it through that hell. I myself was on prozac way back in 1996 before I ever even got into opiates for depression etc. Ever since two years ago when I discovered the joy of opium and how its been a miracle drug for me I would never go back, especially since my life has been literally living hell since I was almost little up through the hell teen years up till two years ago when I got hooked on my miracle drug. I guess the point of my rave is, I love my opiates and they are here to stay forever with me. I dont see any reason whatsoever now or in the near future for me to suffer enough to quit cold turkey especially. Back when I was on prozac, if I knew that I would feel 100% better on an opiate, I would have quit prozac cold turkey like I did eventually, but went right to opiates instead of going back to drinking like I did. Seeing as I'm such a loner and have nobody special in my life, there are only two things right now that mean so much to me, opiates and money, if I should happen to ever finally get ahead bigtime financially, then both will come together as one, like two people falling in love, I will have plenty of money to enjoy life and go full tilt with my buddy opium.

Quitting bupe sucks. I am back on the hydro b/c I don't want to be in WD's for 3 weeks. I hope to ween down to about 80mg per day and then switch to imodium and lomotil. I'll wean off of those 2 drugs....but bupe sucks.

 All I can say is good luck. Hopefully quick experience I may relay to you:
Stopped Sub's (only 2mg every other day for the 2 months prior to this attempt) on a Sunday. Felt so fine that I actually FORGOT about them. Thursday afternoon I was in a bookstore when flu type symptoms started. Thought nothing of it.
Went home a was completely worthless for 3 days. Vomit, not to mention other uncontrollable body functions....:o
Not once in those 3 days did I even think it could be withdrawl! Then someone (the ONLY one who knows) mentioned the Sub's. I said, "Nah....can't be w/d!" But lo and behold, he was right. Symptoms NEVER went away. I lasted that way for another 2 days and finally called my doc. Explained to him what was going on and he immediately called in a script. He didn't want me relapsing on something that had me originally taking the sub's.
Funny thing happened. Before I sent the friend to pick up Rx, I actually found a half a pill on the bottom of a purse. Took it and within the hour I was up and moving! By 2 hours it was as though no sickness was present.
Now, I have been on them maintenance for 3 years. You may condemn me for that, but NO WAY will I ever go thru that again!
Just my experience!
Good luck!

^Not to be a dick, just informative, but I am pretty sure you cannot send/receive PMs yet.

this shit sounds very familiar. i was just talking to a friend of mine who detoxed from subutex and we found out that we both went through PAWS for more than 6 months. mine WD didn't even start until day 4.
i had a fucking miserable time kicking that shit, i mean nothing quite as dramatic of WD as say methadone or morphine, but the fucking after-effects were terrible.
nothing like the times before when i just kicked one opie and didn't go from one, to methadone, then to subs. oh well fuckit i'm digging up some old shit now.
