Ok, i have read countless posts about people afraid to do certain things with subs because of the risk of withdrawal. My question is "Does anyone have PERSONAL knoweldge of ANYONE being thrown into withdrawal by subs?" I think I remember one post that mentioned that the poster had that happen. I have a post in the bupe forum that has a link to a us gov't website that discusses the way methadone patients use suboxone to get high. WTF? When I switched I went MAYBE 36 hours before taking my first sub dose. I have snorted it and heard of other people slamming it. Is the WD threat really the junkie's booger man? If you know of legit cases, please list the conditions which brought about the rapid onset of wds (ie, d.o.c., length of habit, length of abstinence, etc.) I think we would learn a lot more by knowing when the wds happen than trying to piece together when they don't. Well, just took the big scary first chance at this, cut an 8mg in 4 little pieces, then took one piece and crushed into fine powder and gently drew up like 2mg up a short straw into one nostril. I'm sitting here waiting to see what happens. Will post in a half hour the results.

Well nothing out of the ordinary, it was a scary plunge since I'm always scared to try something new and different. I dont feel much of a buzz any better than when under tongue, so I snorted more and now have a half of an 8mg left sitting here. After all seems fine I may finish off the rest. I dont know about you but I noticed when you snort that your nose starts running and all that orange stuff tries to run out of your nostril and you have to keep sniffling a bit to keep it all in there. Did I do it all right? Well I'll see how the last of the whole 8mg makes me feel. I personally dont notice anything better than when taking it under tongue, but will see. Who knows the wd's may set in and I will suddenly be in deep shit and when my family comes home from church ha ha I could be laying there all curled up. Ha ha just kidding, had to add some humor to it.

My sub adventure today went surprisingly well, considering that I was afraid I would be thrown into wd and my day out of order but it wasn't. I tried one 8mg up the snoot and I did get a slightly better buzz than under the tongue. It wasn't near enough though to warrant me wanting to do it too often though, because as others in the past have said, all that powder up there even in both nostrils felt kind of shitty off and on throughout the day and then later on I started getting a headache toward suppertime and right before my next sub dose. Not sure if the headache had something to do with snorting it or not, but just because I didn't go into wd doesn't necessarily mean another person wouldn't either. Just my opinion, take it under the tongue like its supposed to, I dont think the buzz or effects are much better anyways and I dont know how well your nose likes all that orange stuff up there anyway. Another words be careful if you try it.

Yo. You can blow 2mg of sub at a time. Once you blow more than that, you will get some minor stomach cramps and your constipation will subside....nothing major. It definately hits you harder with or without the slight absorbtion of the naloxone. If you blow an 8mg tablet, your stomach will certainly hurt.

I did some research and naloxone is available in a nasal spray so it definately is not the best thing to snort in high doses. The thing is that suboxone binds so strongly, even naloxone has trouble displacing it. That's why there have been studies where people got IV suboxone and didn't go into rapid WD's.

Also, EMT's will tell you that it is hard to cure a Bupe OD because the sub binds so tightly that it takes escessive amounts of naloxone to clean those receptors off.

I bet that a heroin OD would respond better to bupe than naloxone but obviously don't try that one at home. Anyhow, naloxone works fine for H so it doesn't matter.
