help me identify this syrup

found syrup labelled HYDROCODONE COMPOUND SYRUP MOR
there is no milligram dosage listed. my questions are: what is it compounded with, what is mor?

wish it was morphine lol

also it's a little over 2 1/2 years old, shouldn't be a problem, right?

As this is a generic syrup it doesn't seem like it is likely anyone will be able to uniquely identify it, however, it has been my experience that almost all hydrocodone cough syrup is 10mg hydrocodone per teaspoon, along with an antihistamine, generally 8mg of chlorpheniramine polistirex. The age shouldn't matter, but remember, these syrups are a suspension, not a solution, so be sure you shake it up well before taking any.

You should be proud of yourself for asking for information. Most of us wouldn't have made it past the first word. If you don't have allergies to anything that might normally be in a syrup, then you could take a typically standard dose of one teaspoon and see how things go. That's my only suggestion.

HYDROCODONE COMPOUND SYRUP is also called Hycomine.

It is a combination of Pyrilamine Maleate, Phenylephrine HCL, and Ammonium Chloride
It acts as a decongestant, antihistamine, and an antitussive(decreases cough).

It is a syrup, and not mixed in a suspension.

2 1/2 years old...Does it have an expiration date? I imagine it would.

I myself don't usually take meds that have expired, especially if already that old, but it is only a suggestion. While I cannot say if it will have an effect or not, my advice would be not to.

No it's not hycomine. It's hycodan. It has homatropine in it at 1.5mg/tsp. And hydro at 5mg/tsp.

I was going to take a sip but the sip was more like 3/4ths of the whole bottle. I finished it off, it wasn't too bad but I definitly felt a bit weird for a while. thought it may have been too many antihistamines or whatever was in it.

felt funny b/c homatropine comes from belladonna/deadly nightshade.
