Shoulder/Neck Pain

Every time I do a shot of morphine I get this weird tightening in my shoulders and neck for about 15 seconds then it goes away. I love the high from morphine and I almost like the pain that goes with the shot. Just wondering if anyone else gets this and what causes it?

I've never had that happen.

I have never had it with hydromorph, just morphine.

Yea, sometimes with a Morphine shot or even with pods and seed tea i get a tightness in my neck and like you, it goes away after 15 minutes. I'm glad you brought this up because i always wondered about it and if anyone else experienced it.

I have no idea why it happens but now my brain associates it with sweet relief so i like the tightness lol.

Just like when i was an IV meth user 15 years ago, i loved how the prick from the needle felt, it was such a beautiful pain. And to this day, if I'm in the ER or Hospital and they do an IV shot or even an IM shot, that pain from the needle still excites me. Although I'm not an IV user anymore i don't think that love for the 'prick' will ever go away.

ya my gf was just saying she always gets that tightness and pain in her neck after a morphine shot and i remembered reading your post, guess ur not alone.

I get the tightening feeling when I switch back to pod tea after a break or if I get a new, strong batch of pods. Hydros used to always do this to me and morphine still does. I associate it with a little bit of heaven settling into my body. :p
