Me too! That's why I finally decided to check out this thread...and we worry about attracting the unwanted attention of LE with *dope* hook-ups? Even the *least* paranoid among us, must figure this sort of post will do the job :-(

And I used to carry around an M-79, which was a single shot version of just this...I actually had a shotgun round in it, for different reasons, but during Vietnam, M-79--or the "blooper", as it was also called, was legendary. Single shot, looked like a big bullet, you fired, and upong arrival, it blew up...not *reallyI* an RPG, but they were there too...Anybody who saw "Apocalypse Now," and remembers the scene on the bridge, where, w/Jimmi Hendrix music blasting, and the words "They close...they *real* close", should remember the guy who finally axed the "dink in the wire" with that little weapon he had: that was a "blooper." (Duck, reminiscing...)

Anyway, if they haven't been watching us by, now, the anti-teruhr boys will now... :-(

damn you brony, keep it down! Anyways, check out this site for all the FREE MMORPG's ever, plus trials of all the famous and good ones out. http://www.mmorpg.com/index.cfm?bhcp=1

I don't play really, but I used to and they send me a newsletter from their website, works for all countries btw, some have different trials for diff countries so one place might have a trial for europe (this is how I tried the new world of warcraft on EU servers) and the US might now, and the other way around.

Don't do any of those crappy "free to play" RPG's. Google "RO" and find a private server for that. It's normally a pay-to-play game, but there are private servers running. Pristontale is the same way.

OOH MAN

BACK TO TOPIC

www.starsonata.com (http://www.starsonata.com)... fuckin excellent space-o game based off of Space War (the *original*)

It's hella fun, and you will enjoy it. BUT it lags like a bitch sometimes, making the combat a little dicey, eh, c'est la vie

Was playing Mythos [www.mythos.com (http://www.mythos.com)] for a while -- if you have played Diablo you will find this game very familiar. Many of the top designers from Blizzard split off and started their own company and you can feel the talent oozing out of this game, even in the early stages of development. Great ideas, great gameplay, very high on the fun factor.

It's not free, per-se, but it is in the beta stages and you can test the game without any cost to you -- simply download the client and rock-n-roll. Message me with your proper contact info if you need and I'll get you a beta account key.

OK WHAT Movie are you guys talking about, I love American war movies. There's a very good German war movie that shows the side from the Germans like the Band of Brothers but from the opposite side sort of. It shows Hitlers' Final Days Der Untergang is the name, it is an excellent movie. My girlfriend bought it for me because she knows I love WWII, no I'm not a nazi and I'm not a secret member of......... well umm anyways ahem, the movie even if you order it from amazon I believe you can get an NTSC version or you can probably torrent it with English subtitles. Even the German movie that she bought me at the grocer had English subtitles so I'm sure any version will have it available.

Great movie, not very well known but great viewpoint from the Germans' view from a change instead of the Americans. And although I love Band of Brothers' etc. they are a tad biased, although I think the nazi regime was pure evil. My girl has einen 'der Rücken' or as americans call "RUCK SACKS" right ducky? That's what they called them in Vietnam right? I've seen alot of American war movies like I said. Anways, Sorry for the hijack, someone please tell me that movie you're talking about because it might be one I haven't seen and now I'm all enticed and intrigued to pursue a torrenting.

Do you mean Ragnarok Online by "RO"? This game was very popular in the EU, and I remember Americans saying they were lagging alot when I played it during it's early days. I don't have time to play these long RPG's anymore but I used to be all about them. I'm sure they have more US servers now that support it because it's been out for so long and has progressed alot from alpha, beta, to it's current state whatever that is.......

oh yeah google EVEONLINE, some of my friends swear by it and the content is endless you could play the game for 25 years and never explore it all. It's a deep space game and it's very intricate and has almost an hour tutorial to get started, great graphics, FREE TRIAL, and there are space pirates who will try and take over your spaceship and threaten your life for bribes, etc. Very interesting game, players all over the world and joining a group or crew to help you isn't hard for protection and you can have your own home planet to protect from others. Also working on your spaceship and upgrading or getting online and mining the universe for minerals for cash is very graphically appealing and the game has alot of political aspects and economical as well.

Sort of like import export on prices of different things depending on where you reside u can travel and share rare goods to others that need your stuff and vice versa. There's a hierachy of a space clan or crew, Captains, officers, basic soldier crews, etc. I only played the trial, but it seemed really cool. Didn't continue because it's it's almost 13 EUROS a month or about $15 US.

I spend a lot of time playing KoL http://www.kingdomofloathing.com
It's got some funy references and puns and such, with hand-drawn graphics. Give it a try, It seems kinda stupid at first, but after playing it for a little bit, it gets more entertaining. An opiophile adventurer is me!!!
