Yeah, I heard about it. It's just a novel way to take alcohol into the body. No big difference in the buzz that it produces. It takes like 20 minutes to do a shot via inhalation. I read a newspaper article about it last year. It's a gimmick that bars are using to make extra money.

20 minutes to do a shot? Pardon my french, but baise cela! ....Sorry, I couldn't resist. So many people say "Pardon my french" but what they say never ends up being french, and I always end up feeling let down, as if I was going to feel multicultural for just a moment, but then had the oppourtunity ripped away from me. Then I get depressed and look to Telemundo for my fix, but its spanish, and that's just not the same!....What the hell is wrong with me? What I meant was 20 minutes to do a shot? Fuck that!

I suppose you have to use less as it bypasses the digestive system, but 20 minutes? And I'm sure it costs a fortune to use, so its not like your saving money by using less alcohol.

Mon Dieu, Skeletontea, vive la fume! A bas le doute! I have a suspicion one shot will give you more (and not take 20 minutes) if you use the trusted lightbulb evaporator method (my favourite for other stuff and wonderfully elaborated on elsewhere here) with a candle underneath to release the fumes quickly.

Just not sure if I want all those burny fumes in my lungs, but heck, sounds better than all that burny liquid through my stomach. I have always suspected that ingestion of anything is very, er, medieval and yucky. You know, quaffing and all that ...

Any other first hand experiences? :p

By the way, check out this link (http://www.ac-austin.com/story.php?section=chow) (its a little breif though), appearently in france you can vaporize absinthe combined with nitrous (or maybe the reviewer just added the nitrous himself) in a concoction called Van Gogh's Ear.

Edit: He was not in France. "Paris (France)" was his version of saying "the downside", whereas the "upside" was called "Paris Hilton." I'd only perused the article before posting the link. After reading the dammed thing, I've come to the conclusion that the author is crass moron who's attempts at clever metaphors aren't even remotely ammusing.

Hmm, actually the more I read that page, I begin to suspect it is nothing more than a dull attempt at satire, as a April Fool's day prank. Every "article" is dated April 1st. And though the articles are laced with Brittish idioms, the writing has a distinctly "American" feel to it. Perhaps it is nothing more than an American's parody of Brittish pop culture. I'd check the location of their server, but I'm too lazy.

So either its a dull prank, or it was an actual publication (they were printing a magazine) which was so lacking in real content that it was canceled before it made it to a second issue. Reading "The Rear End" link at the top of their page (in which the process of creating the publication is described) I'm begining to suspect the latter.

I found a company which sells personal use machines for $300, and this one does indeed have a built in saftey device which only allows one "shot" (which is actualy 1/2 a shot) to be inhalled within 20 minutes. Though my guess is that you could buy a vaporizer without the saftey device for less money (which would be favorable.) That would be cool if I could empty out the medicine cup from my vicks mentholated vaporizer, and add my own "medicine" and a pvc airline tube, but I don't think that would work.

I had a vaporator once. One for medicamentations, which produced a really fine fog.

Everything over 10 pervent alcohol would be impossible for me to inhale and I smoke 1 packet of cigarettes per day.

So maybe I did something wrong or the 20 minutes is correct. Cause when you have 5 percent alcohol you have to inhale a lo to feel something ...
