Too Good to Be True??

I have been getting the Ethex brand 30mg MSER's for quite a while from my regular pharmacy, but after my doctor's appt this morning, I didn't want to wait until they opened and stopped at one of the chains who filled my script with the Watson brand.

I shoot my meds, and learned how to prepare the Ethex brand down to a science, however, when I tried that same method with the Watson's the solution got really, really jelly (clear) and hard to pull into the rig. So the 2nd time I didn't apply any heat and it seemed to work amazingly well!

I just want to make sure I wasn't missing something, or wasting anything. Can someone verify...Watson MSER's do NOT need heat to prepare for IV'ing...??

Man, that would really make things a little easier for me!

well if you tried it without heat and it worked "amazingly well," i would assume you answered your own question.

Umm, so your basically just shooting what would be gel if you heated it up? I know nothing about IVing first-hand, but is that normal with pills? I thought people usually tried to get the gel out before shooting it.

If it was me, I'd wait until someone with more experience shooting that same brand comes along unless it's a matter of shooting them or being sick.

You are right, Jonny, I did answer my own question. I just wanted to get the verification from other experts on opiophile.

I talked myself out of going to a different pharmacy for quite a while, but knowing what I know now, I wish I would have tried it.

Watson was always my 2nd best choice for OC, now they are #2 for MSER's.

Yes... Watson doesn't spend much time "abuse proofing" their pills from my experience and what I've read people saying.

I know Watson Vicodin and Percocet generics are the best... they kick in the fastest and strongest (i've never had brand). The Mallinckrodt seem the weakest.

Watson brand (ABG) MS-Contin always gelled like a motherfucker even if I preped it cold. Morphine should always be preped cold anyway. When you heat the morphine pills the wax melts and combines with the morphine, then when the wax gels again morphine is trapped inside the wax; just a lil tip.

What I do with the Watson MS-Contin's or any MS-Contins for that matter is

1)I remove the coating and crush

2) Add 3cc COLD water per pill I'm preping, and let sit for 5 minutes to completely remove the morphine from the binders and such

3) Remove the needle off of a 5cc rig and stuff a small a piece of cotton down the barrel

4) Backload the gel mix into the 5cc rig and put the plunger back in

5) I then press the plunger down, running the gel mix through the cotton filter in the 5cc rig

6) Depending if it is still jelly, I might remove the old cotton out of the filtering barrel and replace it then and repeat step 5

7) It should clear and the consistency of water now, and be ready to load into your dart and O.K. to shoot, I have never had to filter through the filtering barrel more than twice.

Just remember NEVER HEAT THE MORPHINE, you will lose almost half of it in the wax if you do. Also it is VERY important to make sure to let the initial soulution sit for at least 5 minutes to remove all the morphine from the shit were about to filter out, with morphine it takes that time or else you are wasting product. After you run the initial soulution through the filtering barrel feel the cotton see how its all scummy. Thats the wax you filtered out. IMO, this is the very best way, and only way to prep MS-Contins, you can turn that gel soulution into a clear perfect ready to shoot soulution. Like I said before the key is to never heat the soulution, and to make sure to let the initial soulution sit for at least 5 minutes. We dont want the morphine trapped in the wax thats why we dont heat it and we let it sit because we want to totally remove all the morphine from the binders we filter out.

This method is a hell of a lot easier than crisping.

Even though Avinza's dont gel this is an awesome method for those too, it gets that milky looking soulution perfectly clear.

This method MIGHT also work on generic Oxy's although I have never tried it.

Good advice but you lose at least 30% in the best scenario (with Contin and according to the Cinciannti study everyone is up in arms about-suprised noone posted a thread on it here) so why bother at all? I guess if you have enough it is cool but for most save the experts they will lose so much target that it ends up as if they had taken it orally with the 33% net (oral subject to 1st pass making it 1/3rd as effective as the stated dosage). Maybe the rush is the attraction...

Me? I am too chickensh%$ to inject these cold shake IRs I have, let alone a matrix encased nightmare.

I would be concerned about the temperature that it gels at, seeing as your blood is warm.

This could be ture, but I doubt it a bit, since I've had some good yield with MSContin. I'm very familliar with how much M it takes for me (as I used to get the hype-tabs before MSC) and I'm pretty sure if you ran it through an GC/MS you'd find the yield is higher than 33%. But that's just MHO.

Also, to mitigate the loss, I eat the cotton and lick the spoon clean. Then I'm getting all the M into my system and none is actually lost to the process itselft.

sounds like a good time for chewing or plugging... and/or you can use your enzyme inhibitors (gf juice / tagamet) and jack up your plasma levels with some high fatty foods (double qpounder w cheez worked for me)

i have over time learned to enjoy NOT shooting all the morphine... normally i would chew more and shoot less
