kratom resin

i just ate about 5 grams of kratom resin and was wondering if anyone else has tried if so i would like to here about your thoughts on it...

I have tried almost all the kratom extracts and kratom products out there. I think the standard commercial leaf is the best deal.
I have heard that PAH's new 15x commercial extract is nothing spectacular....
almost all the extracts that I have tried come up short on effects compared to the reg strength material.
especially the water based extractions.

the 98% mitragynine extract has definite effects, but seems less effective than kratom as a whole herb.....the 90% alkaloid extract of kratom is a little stronger it seems than the 98% pure mitragynine extract, both of these purer offerings are good for snorting.

I Ivd the 90% pure alkaloidal extract, and noticed no rush, snorting kratom extracts seems to work faster than IVing the material.

My favorite product is the commercial leaf.

possibly the best extract I ever had was a 3 times refluxed ethanol extract of commercial kratom, the amount originally extracted was 100 grams, I was sent about 5 millilitres of ethanol, and dried this on approx. 1 gram of insuperior US grown kratom leaf.
smoking 1/4 of the extract put me on the nod and made me feel rather nauseous for some 2 hours( I had poppy seeds in my system as well).

all these "superior" and extra strength varieties that have more alkaloids reported seem rather mild to me, I think that although the total alkaloid content is higher than the commercial, that the actual amounts of mitragynine and 7 hydroxt mitragynine are not increasing at the same ratios. the company that is in charge of distributing these superior strengths are discontinuing selling them this way. some companies out there are basically ripping people off with these other strengths, by misrepresenting commercial leaf as superior, or by making fortified extracts from commercial and selling them as the same product as the superior. to end this confusion they are now ONLY selling commercial, and then the 15x extract.

reading murples paper on kratom I think that other alkaliods in kratom besides the two listed above are creating additional effects...........

I am interested in bioassying other mitragyna species such as....
m. parvifolia
m. javanicus
m. inermis
m. stipulosa
m. africana
m. ciliata

some of these species are commercially aviavable.

Most of the focus on Kratom seems to be for non-tolerant users, and for withdrawal alleviation purposes....

But I'm curious what use it might have for people in severe chronic pain who are taking a daily, substantial dose of prescription as well as homebrew opioids. Can it potentiate, and thereby reduce dosage needs of, this pain management regimen? Or will it block the action of the "true" opiates and cause dosages to need to be increased?

I have tried one supplier's "super kratom powder" and even with little to no tolerance at the time, I noticed no real desirable effects. Perhaps my dose was too low, or the quality of the supplier's stock was poor?

Obviously, 5g of kratom extract resin is going to be very different than what I tried. So I'm asking primarily for the purpose of knowing: should I be factoring Kratom into my medication/supplement budgets only as a W/D tool, or should I track down the refined, reliably supplied forms to use as a more frequent supplement and part of my pain regimen???

Resin extract is interesting to me, although I cannot find much reference to it in any literature; I was wondering how many grams of leaf a gram of resin is roughly equivalent to? Furthermore, I wonder if it is possible to create a more potent resin extract using a non-standardized alcohol extraction such as is done with salvia and (making an assumption here as I haven't looked into the chemistry behind it) the 15x leaf extracts. If this was possible I could envision a strong smokable (probably more like vaporized) resin, similar to opium. I wonder how feasible this is, as currently it seems like the resin extract is more analogous to poppy putty. Next time I've some extra scratch maybe I'll do a little R&D into this.

from January of 2005, until early November of 2005, I was completely, hopelessly physically addicted to kratom. The regular commerical leaf is the best buzz per dollar ratio. The resins and 10X extracts and stuff are interesting, but if you're using it every day, and need to keep lots on hand, go with the commerical leaf, ground into a fine green powder, and mixed with hot Chai Tea Latte mix. stir the whole mess up for a minute or so, and then down the hatch.

I was using about 9 or 10 grams per dose, like 6 or 7 times a day, by the time I got finished with that habit.

Now, buprenorphine maintenance, all because of kratom!

the strongest kratom extract product that I have tried, and I have tried most of the commercial products, was a 3 times refluxed ethanol extract of 100 grams of kratom deposited on a gram of basically worthless US grown material. I smoked 1/4 of this material and got a heavy effect that left me nodding in an out and rather nauseous for a few hours....I was also on poppy seeds so the effect was most likely a combination....

if making tea from kratom remember that up to 4 water extractions on the same leaf material will produce varying amounts of alkaloids.

relatively pure mitragynine is now being sold online, and I am told that analogs of mitragynine are now starting to be researched because of this avialability........

also to hit the market is the kratom "substitute" known as mitragyna javanica, which has no mitragynine but other alkloids found in kratom and a few others specific to that species.....I am told that it predominantly has a sedative effect.

I tried it about three times, all from the same seller but different qualities: 1 time standard and 2 times premium.

First time I drank 6 gram of the standard as tea without effects.
Second time I drank 6 grams of the premium with water but no effect.
Third time I drank 10 grams of premium heated in vodka, but no effect either.

I will ´try to find out the name of the supplier, must have been a ripoff.
