All I need to say here is 2mg. Xanax (stick)bar around 1/2 hour after 70-100mg methadone from MMT..... And oh my god! I was dropping cigarettes everywhere, nodding out sitting straight up. It was really fucking pathetic to feel the same heroin nod with methadone and xanax. I do love feeling that way. Thats the real sick part of it. I need a lifetime supply of xanax and even a 60 mg methadone dose and its nodcity.

I totally know how you feel, man. I'm running low on Alprazolam 1mg footballs, and I usually only take 0.5 at a time....but even so, it's still a nice addition.

My doc has offered Valium, so I know he's willing to add a benzo to my med regimen, but I'm not sure which one to ask him for. Since Xanax is such a popular choice among abusers, I figure I shouldn't ask for it by name. I'd probably be happy with almost any benzo right now, just for occasional use to help with sleep, muscle relaxation, nerve pain, myoclonic jerking, etc....

benzo lovers might be interested in this plant called dan shen, or salvia miltiorrhiza, it contains compounds known as tanshinone or miltirone, both are benzo agonists, partial as they cause no muscular relaxation. from my experience they work pretty damn good. recently a freind isolated diterpenes from this plant, similiar to the process of taking the diterpenes out of salvia divinorum, he vaporized 20 milligrams and reported a strong experience. this plant is not a controlled species.

From my experiences I would say that 2-3 grams of 5x extract is similiar to 5-10 milligrams of valium.............

How would mixing methadone and xanax give a "heroin type high." Since when does a benzodiazepine convert a mildly euphoric synthetic opioid to an extremely euphoric semi-synthetic opiate? I doubt if I took xanax with methadone it would feel like heroin. So if I took xanax with pods it would feel like a heroin type high also? Can someone with experience on the topic please explain this to me?

The only explanation is that some people react in unusual ways to the synergistic effects of combining two drugs. Most of us would get heightened effects from the combination, but few would perceive it as HiJacked did. The most obvious reason is that HiJacked has very little experience with this type of thing and is describing it the way that he/she thinks it feels. That's about all I can come up with!

Anyway, the majority of us already know what mixing opiods and benzos do to you, and as many of us would not describe the experience like HiJacked does.

Dont get mad at me Tar_Baby, I wasnt the one who directed and produced "Methadonia." I think that the ones who use methadone as prescribed are going to get a lot from it, getting some control back in your life after you feel like there is just no more hope is an amazing feeling. I used Suboxone, not methadone, for the fact that I know I would be saving doses up and using it to get high. (Im one of the few who get great euphoria from metahdone)

Its still a fact though that people have been using this combo (methadone & benzos) for quite a while now. It is a deadly combo though, as many of us have pointed out already. But what the hell do the meth clinics care, as long as they are getting their money they could care less what people do with their meth. Its a business just like any other.

They were really pushing the klonopin benzo mixture with methadone more than xanax but seeing as how when I used to get sick from H withdrawals i would always seek out the xanax sticks for relief.
So maybe its not new to you but it is to me so take it for what I posted it for. It's my new mod.

The clinics may not give a fuck but I do..I have been on methadone almost 10 years and I get tired of seeing good people die. I once had a conversation with a lady that used to bring her 2 young daughters in whiler she dosed (they were too young to know where they were) and we had a short convo about her taking valium to get fucked up with her methadone and she died about a month before x mas in 2001.
Im gonna lose count of good people that have OD'd mixing opies and benzos.
Im not mad at anyone I just want people to think and be careful..You can get high and still live and not get aids and amputated limbs if you are careful..
I used to use methadone as just a safety crutch to my daily heroin for years...not saying Im an angel but people abusing methadone system is why the regs are so fucking strict and people cant even go out of town with their families for x mas etc for the first year of treatment.
Just for your info my last 4 piss tests were dirty for heroin so Im not claiming Im an angel.Ive only been off the heroin 14 days this time...I go back n forth

Yes...I pay $60.00 a week at my clinic. Im assuming the opposite of private clinic would be govt/county welfare paid?
I moved to the Dallas area for about a year and transferred to another clinic thats owned by the same clnic I go to now.( clarify: my clinic now is the one I transferred from before dallas..and carries the same name..they have a chain through Texas of about 8 clinics.)
Oddly enough the clinic near Dallas ( ok fuck it, specifically it was in Irving) was private and welfare paid. Was a whole diff ballgame there, they treat people like shit ( To save someone agony Ill post the name: West Texas Counselling and Rehabilitation, Irving Texas <~ avoid these motherfuckers at all costs) They have a program called Northstar where the city or county pays for peoples methadone.
Anyway..none of the W.T.C & R clinics test for marijuana. Now, Im not sure what Iriving clinics policy is on Dirty UA's because I had monthly carry outs and had been clean for 3 years at that time.
The private pay only clinic Im at now wont boot you for dirty UAs...In fact I had 4 years of dirty heroin piss there. This was the early 90's when they still had blind dosing /dose caps etc (methadone used to be alot worse than it is now as far as clinic policy and regs.
What they will do is this..encourage you to raise your dose up..because if your dose is tacked out high enough you 1) cant feel heroin 2) wont have any WDs at all 3) really shoudnt crave mentally.
They test for Methadone, opiates, methamps/amps, benzos, and cocaine. ( i know alot of places test for PCP and who the fuck does PCP these days? Havent heard of that shit being round since 80s. Nasty shit..anyway.
If you can afford it Id look for a private clinic that hes your money and best interest at heart rather than welfare clinics that treat the poor like shit.

Plus they cant be giving filthy UA's like the cash payment customers do. $67 a week here and I just got smacked with a late to pay/ FEE DETOX. Im in the methadone maintenance for 4 years now. I just came home right now from getting my methadone for the weekend. In the beginning (i mean the first year) i was taking a lot of valium as well. But not due to a 'special nod' but just because i simply was used to do it. I already took some diazepam nearly each day when i was doing h.. (taken with 1beer i had always a very euphoric high then..)
My doc was always very strict regarding dirty UAs (and of course still is)- especially when it comes to benzos. You can smoke weed which they do not test-but if u are doing benzos,other opiates than m or cocaine-you have to talk, to explain and when you keep on doing expect restrictions.
Same thing in europe-or at least germany:the most drug related deaths were from mixtures of methadone and benzos (and often alcohol as well).
And although it wasnt easy for me to quit benzos -the methadone maintenance and its various positive effects it had on my life was much more important to me so i managed to stop doing benzos.

These days i have some trouble with dirty UAs again..:o
I had to give them UA on wednesday(two days ago) and if im unlucky it could be the fourth dirty UA in a row-any of them opiates+ (due to h)
Since the second UA was filthy i have to come there three times a week again.
Before i gave them the dirty UAs i only had to go there one time per week to get my weekly take home.
Those were the days..
