The Wire...HBO ON DEMAND

The Wire is on on HBO On Demand right now...The first two seasons with season one ending in 6 days. There are 13 episodes to the first season so you should be able to ingest them in a day or two.

It's a good show. It's about street hustlin' in Baltimore with some junkylife aspects tossed in for a nice broad story arc. Season two broadens the scope a little, but if you haven't seen the show and have HBO On Demand check it out.

We had a running thread going somewhere on here, devoted to The Wire and you're right, it's a great show, and is a fine example of what t.v. can do. One of our favorite members, and onetime Admin. on here, Flipside, was from there, and had all kind of info on show....I've seen them all, and never missed one...I'm just waiting for them to start up again...I used to live up near there--D.C./VA--and had a girlfriend up in Baltimore...what a cool city, and good, *real*, heroin, unlike this Kali Krap...anyway, if show starts up again, we'll bring original thread back to life...just reminded me, I need to call Flipside: this is longest she's ever been MIA.....

Great: be sure to yell on here, when it comes on again: I hardly ever watch HBO, now Sopranos are gone, and John From Cincinnati is also over...but I keep it just for The Wire....Fine show!!!!

HBO is hanging on by a thread in my view.. they have The Wire, that's about it now.

the wire.....the corner.........it's a little confusing at times.
oh an remember the movie ummmmm what was it ummmm oh yeah RUSH i think?
about a couple a texas narcs that get all caught up into it themselves and they was trying to get the big fish gaines aka one of the allman brthers....... oh man if ya tryin not to think about gettin high then do not and i repeat do not listen to any allman bros band music....wheres my jack? whoo hooo oh yeah also about that movie when they ran the credits they played that clapton song he wrote when his kid fell out the window and passed on in nyc "will you know my name, when if i see you in heaven"or somthing close to that . dont bother correcting me cause its all good. man that tune is a tear jerker..

speaking of which, this is very coincidental, I'm torrenting season 1 right now! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Good show though, torrented parts of a while back there was a thread when opiophile just started about the wire I believe, thats what got me into, thanks for the reminder about it though :D

I knew you'd see that one and laugh ;-) I'm alright, hope yer doing o.k....I just ate a quart of fucking ice cream, and now I hate myself....how low do I got to go on methadone before the constipation goes away and I quit the ice cream? I'mean, I fill up the fridge with brocoli and apples and pears...and then eat pizza and ice cream!!! What does it all mean???
