Hey I just read this book, Kitchen Confidential, by Anthony Bourdain, he has a show on the Travel Channel now called No Reservations, its a really good book, whether you are in the food business or not.....Very funny, lots of insight into the world of what "really" goes on behind closed doors at restaurants......also goes into his early 80s drug use, he was a heroin addict, and now a successful TV personality......its a good read and funny as hell.....check it out

I got a free copy of one of his books, like an out takes from other books book, I hadn't heard of him yet it was several
months back, and was totally impressed with his cultured punk rock way of thinking.

Him being a junky explains alot. Ive always wondered why he was so skinny when he basicly eats food for a living.

No reservations was the best travel show ever, I bet the guy writes well too. Doesn't surprise me at all that he's (was?) a junky. Did anyone see the episode he went to the amazon and tried ayhuasca?

anthony bourdain is awesome.
i've been a fan since his first book and his first series on the food channel.
he's really the only famous person that i would like to meet.
he's written a few culinary geared mysteries as well - i've only read typhoon mary(which was awesome) and i can't find the other ones in either of my local libraries.
