I've watched many videos, clips, and programs on the war on drugs, and this is the best I've seen yet BY FAR. It's not the same old run of the mill video. It's new and just came out about a month ago it was filmed over 3-4 years and it's narrated very well. It's 2 hours long and covers a multitude of topics. I'd give it a 9.5 out of 10 only because of one line about vicodin and oxycontin being harder to come off of then heroin some bs about their high syntehtic something. Oxy maybe vicodin no way in hell not physically or even close mentally.

However this is a GREAT FUCKING DOCUMENTARY. I saw it from a friend who downloaded it, but now we are both gonna buy copies and I'm even gonna buy some to send to friends for christmas or something.

It covers tons of stuff and talks to a great deal of people. From the idiot sheriff joe arpaio (if you've seen VH1's the drug years this was the sheriff who decided he was gonna set up road blocks and search every car that entered the county and it had to be explained to him very slowly that it violates our constitutional rights) Tommy chong in prison, freeway ricky ross, cia, dea, narcotics officers, police, the fear factor host who now does ufc, drug czar mcaffrey, Ron Paul (who is running for president as a republican but is really a libert.), ralph nader, judge james Gray (also a republican I think, who is against the war on drugs superior court of orange county been a judge for approx 25 years I believe), medical marijuana patients and shops and stuff, Gary Johnson Republican governor of new mexico for 8 years after his second election he worked to lefalize drugs and educate people instead.

A few of the things it covers is prison privatization, cia drug smuggling corruption, medical marijuana, the guy visits holland where the drugs are decriminalized if not legalized and heroin clinics etc. and shows the differences. He goes to gang rallies, tapes people smoking crack posing as a homeless guy, exposes the partnership for a drug free america (sponsored by cig, alcohol, and mostly pharmaceutical companies) a good narration of losing 2 friends and a best friend to drugs. I don't wanna spoil the whole narration though it's just a BRILLIANT FILM

I urge EVERYONE to pay the $20 and BUY it, not download but buy it. It's well worth it, this is a spectacular film. I have no affiliation with the guy either... The pre-release version is the only one out so far and is meant for screenings and I think they are releasing another public type version. This screening version is excellent and is only $20.

If you like war on drug documentaries buy this film! I watch many of them and this one is not the typical run of the mill film it covered a lot of new information for me.

It's called "American Drug War, The Last White Hope"

You can see a short trailer at the website but it doesnt do it justice. Don't get me wrong its not exactly an action packed film, but for a 2 hour DOCUMENTARY it's damn good.

EDIT - There's also a 7 minute trailer on youtube of the video thats worth checking out that trailer. The 7 minute trailer definitely doesn't do it justice either though.

EVERYONE NEEDS TO SEE THIS VIDEO!!!!! DRUG USER OR NOT!

I'd like to see that. Can't afford to buy it. Could it possibly be on Netflix under documentries. Duh, I'll just go look myself lol. Since it's new it may not be on Netflix but eventually they'll get it, they have a vast documentry section. I can't DL it, my computer can't handle large files like that.

I love any type of documentry on drugs and the like. Thanks for the heads up!

I'll know soon, Sorry TP - Personally, I'd like a DVD copy of it as well, but without a job I'm broke.

I hear ya, it's just that if you like it I hope you eventually buy it. Kinda like a favorite band I like to support them some. I think this guy came from a fairly wealthy family but for his efforts I hope people not only support the film by buying it but also making sure others see it. It took 3-4 years to make and I'm sure a good deal of money and countless hours. I'm all for throwing him a few bucks, he deserves it.

Nice, thanks for the heads-up. I'm downloading it from Usenet right now. Don't worry -- I do this all the time, and always purchase anything that is worth it after 'previewing' it from the newsgroups first.
