Dont make it a good freakin' idea! Now myself being the information junkie that i am ran across this in another forum thats no longer actively accepting new posts in the "substance abuse" section of the forum anymore. But let me tell you its got alot of posts, and the cool shit is the first reply to every post is from the websites M.D. who happened to be president of the American Psychological Association Division on Addictions, at one time.

Anyways read this and tell me if its just another person convinced they know the lowdown. I really like the idea.

Many heroin addicts "swear by" buprenorphine detox. Sometimes I have worried that it works "too well" - addicts who have it available to them worry less about relapsing (and so they do) because they know of a quick and easy way to kick,

At the moment, it is my understanding that the FDA has yet to officially approve buprenorphine for narcotic withdrawal.

Neither good, nor bad - impossible. You simply can NOT detox from meth on bupe, I know this both from my doc and my own experience. The ONLY way to get off meth is to stop using meth for at least 4 weeks using dope during that time. Try to use as little dope as you can - much easier to kick later. After 4 weeks you're good to kick dope with bupe - 1ml once a day for 3-4 days ijected under skin, not iv. Works like a charm - I've done it myself too many times by now, and i'm doing it again right now (i'm in the 3-rd week on dope). Once you kick dope, wait for 7 days clean and go get yourself a naltroxone pellet - that will prevent you from re-lapsing for 3 months. Need more info on the pellet - let me know. Now tricked myself into trying to wean off of meth with small amounts of heroin, and get this, I was on the meth for heroin withdrawal from the get go...That didnt work.

But has anyone ever tried this method or even found themselves in possession of the magic buperex I think is the only 1ml shot available somewhere , but not in the usa. Of course not! They gotta set-on the bupe here with that other shit to make any injection sttempt a painful memorable experience now dont they.
1ml buperex might be tuff , but nothing is impossible.

That guy is friggin crazy. You don't have to go back on dope to kick methadone! All you gotta do is make sure you're in early stages of WD before you take the first dose of buprenorphine. Prolly would be at least 2 days without methadone before that started to happen. All you gotta do is make sure you in WD before you take the first dose of bupe.

Anyone suggesting you have to go back on heroin to kick anything is a wee bit kooky.

As for the buprenorphine available in the U.S., there is subutex tablets, which is the same as suboxone, but without the naloxone. These are great for sniffing and for shooting. They are made to dissolve under the tongue, so they dissolve in a spoon rather well to. Shooting bupe, however, does not provide a heavy rush. Sniffing it is pretty much the same as shooting, so I sniff it. Sniffing suboxone (the stuff that has the naloxone in it) is NOT advisable, because naloxone is most likely absorbed throught the nose.

I have been on bupe for a month now and somehow I managed to first get prescribed subutex, and now the maintenance doctor that I'm seeing is prescribing subutex too. I visit him for the second time this evening and we'll see if he keeps writing for subutex. I kinda hopes he gives me the suboxone, but kinda hope he also doesn't. I like sniffing the shit and I'll have to just go the sublingual route if he decides to put me on suboxone. But maybe that's a good idea too.

I know of a clinic here in texas that prescribes buprenex (buprenorphine liquid for injection) for detox. I know a guy who got it and traded 6 amps to me for $10 he owed me for something else. I IMed them and didn't notice anything at all...

Naloxone is not absorbed nasally. The concentration of Nal. is to small I have been snorting Suboxone for going on three years. In fact I have my doubts about injecting Suboxone as it has produced no ill effects in a few friends [ive yet to bother to try it].

Concerning the injection of Suboxone:

Recognizing buprenorphine's potential for misuse, it has been suggested that the drug might be unsuitable as a take-home medication in the US Hence, development of a combination buprenorphine-naloxone product was proposed to prevent maladministration, since the naloxone component, an opioid antagonist, would presumably diminish opioid effects and/or produce undesirable withdrawal symptoms in the user.[28]

However, IV abuse of the buprenorphine-naloxone product might still appeal to patients maintained on buprenorphine. Since quite large doses of naloxone may be required to displace buprenorphine strongly bonded to mu-opioid receptors (as mentioned above), these patients might still experience desirable opioid effects via IV injection, without significant antagonist effects from the naloxone component.

None of the FDA-provided AE reports mentioned a buprenorphine-naloxone formulation. Therefore, the validity of the assumption that the combination product would not be abused, the extent to which patients might "test" it via injection, or its propensity to produce adverse events similar to buprenorphine as a single agent cannot be determined from available FDA data.

I believe there is a certain dose when Suboxone is injected where the Naloxone will be active, what that dose is you got me. Also I think there are some other contributing factors such as current dependence, usage, tolerance, etc. etc.

Shoot for the moon. Dont for get those micron filters with Suboxone/Subutex lotta nasties in those pills.
