I usually get my Tramadol every 12-15 days (100 count) from my pcp and it's at 11 days right now. I'm so tempted to try and call it in today. I've actually gotten it before at 11 days, that would be 4 days early before but that was a while back, i haven't done that in ages because i felt like i was taking advantage of him. So i just got my pills 3 days early.
It's just one day difference, well two days. I'm not sure what would happen, i mean ll he'd do is say, i'll call it in but won't fill it till tomorrow or thursday.
I am torturing myself thinking of calling it in today lol. And no, I'm not trying to get you guys to say "Just do it" or "just wait till tomorrow" I'm just thinking out loud lol.
I hate when i get like this because it feels like i have no control ya know.
I know i can make it till tomorrow but kowing i could possibly get it today is driving me nuts. Usually when i attempt to get things early i always do and i don't make it a regular thing so it's not that bad.
Anyway.... arghhhh lol..

When i say take advantage of him, i meant the pharmacist not the doc. Not that it matters lol

LOL, i couldn't resist, i called the pharmacy. I actually told him it was a bit early and the pharmacist had no problem with that. The people who approve the meds for call ins usually don't pay attention to it so maybe I'll get em today.
I'm so stupid lol. The worst that will happen is they'll tell the pharmacist it's ok but not to fill it till tomorrow or thursday.
I have got to learn to be more patient. I always thought that would come with age but for an addict wisdom and age are out the door i guess.

GOR,
You know what trick I've used w/ getting scripts filled early... "Hey listen, I'm going on vacation for the next week or so and I just wanted to bring all my meds up to date before I take off so I don't run out."
It's always worked like a charm, as long as I haven't been WAY too early.
Glad you don't have to suffer now! That's so weird... feeling bonded with other o-philes where their relief is now my relief and their misery is part my misery too.

Thats what i did LOL. I forgot to mention that's how i got them early a few months ago but stopped because i did it to frequently but since i hadn't done it in a while i thought it would be ok... but like i said the pharmacist was cool with it just like before.
Now it's all on the docs approval, or i should say the receptionist who usually approves my meds. The girl who usually approves it, the girl i have been friends with for 17 years is off today but that shouldn't affect anything. They are pretty lax with Tramadol at my pcp's. My pcp is an old Russian woman who believes Tramadol isn't addictive lol.
But also we have to remember pharmacist aren't stupid and that's why i stopped doing the 'out of town' thing for a while and felt as if i was taking advantage of his kindness but like i said i hadn't done this in a long time.
I'll give him a call in an hour and see if it's ready.

oh ps... yes i agree.. seeing other people on this forum get relief feels good to me and makes me happy when i see this happen for someone else.
I haven't called to see if it was approved yet so i'm not feeling that great yet.. but i still have Morphine in my system so no w/d's yet. That's one main reason i wanted to call it in today is because tonight will be hell if i don't get them.
USually if it isn't approved for what ever reason the pharmacist will call me, he hasn't called so that is a good sign, OR the office told him they'd call him back, and that sucks. It's always so hard to tell how things will go down.

Darn the pharmacist keeps getting a recording when he calls the docs office. Either they are at lunch, which would be a late lunch or they aren't in today. I'm hoping they took a late lunch. Oh well, i tired. I'll call em back in a bit.

Got my fingers crossed for you hon! I know what it's like to wait and wait and wait. Whether it's through legit or illegit channels, it all starts to feel the same after awhile!

Yea, i just called the office myself and the recording was still on at 4 o'clock so they are closed for the day. Oh well, I'll get it tomorrow hopefully. Astually i think they do close early on Tuesdays, But i forgot about that.
I can feel the w/d sneaking up on me. I'm sweating. Long as the RLS doesn't kick in tonight I'll be ok. That's the worst part for me is the RLS, it's horrible.
I can't be to dissapointed because it was a day early to get it. I'm not as upset as I'd usually be for some reason. I'll just kick back and relax tonight, won't bother calling to see if it's ready till tomorrow.
Thanks for keeping your fingers crossed :)

Uugh, I have RLS too along with leg pain from my back problem so I know how you feel. If I run out it's the RLS that drives me up the FN wall, not the leg pain, at least for a couple of days.
I wonder if that RLS medicine works that I see advertised all the time. oh yeah, I was reading one of their ads in a magazine and took a look at the side effects and one of them was an increased, uncontrollable urge to gamble! Can you believe that shit? What a weird side effect...lol.
Stay away from caffeine if you have rls and a little exercise before bed can also sometimes help. BUT too much can make it act up, so just a little walking or something. Hope ya get your trammies tomorrow. Oh, you can get those online too quite easily. Might not be a bad idea to have a backup for a future early run out.

You got to be kidding, right!? What the hell could be in a drug that would give you an urge to gamble? (Rhetorical question :D) Hahaha. Wow. Just when I thought I've heard it all...
There was a thread about the RLS meds awhile back. I'm pretty sure the consensus was that they do not help w/ WD type RLS. :( I wondered the same thing the first time I seen one of their commercials. Too bad though... those are one of my most hated symptoms too.
Hope they pull through for you today GoR!

yea the t.v. ad says the side effects are, uncontrollable urge to gamble, spontaneous sexual arousal, and an urge to do active things
these "side effects" dont sound bad to me at all....
