What's up readymade...
I have experience both IV and oral with both generic brands of MS Contin. As far as oral goes, they both work just as good, I guess it really comes down to which one you're more comfortable with.
IV wise, I would go with the Mallinckrodt by far. I used to get the Mallis all the time until the pharmacy switched to Watson/ABG. I have to crisp the Watsons and they just take more time to prep. I find the Mallis are much easier to prep and shoot than the Watsons. So if you're wanting to IV, then I would most definately go with the Mallis.

There should be no differance at all in theory - oraly or IV'd, between one brandname versus another - same thing, just different name.
In practise though, if IV'ing the binding agents in the Mallis are in theory a little easy to seperate from from the morphine, though that said, both types crushed up properly will release much the same qauntity of MO into solution.
Try Endo's - you can get them down to a very fine powder. Most ER type tabs are held together with a alkylcellulose and at least one aliphatic type alcohol in the mattrix (mattrix in plain language that means "mix" or "mixture" of chemical ingredients that make up the tablet) In the case of the Endo's allthough the size of the tablet is larger than many others alternatives with the same morphine strength, by total mass they have a higher aliphatic alcohol content - the higher the aliphatic alcohol content, the easier the powder dissolves or breaksdown in water.
Of course this is all theoretical chemistry, in practise the realisable differance between different brandname ER tabs is proberbly felt a lot less than it is in theory - and could/would be negated by other factors that can mislead one into believing one is better than the other (e.g. how tired you are, when was your last dose ect ect ...).
Good luck and just be careful
