Lately my MS contins have been causing me to get tummy aches. Not sure why. I'm actually not enjoying my Ms contins like i did at first either. Strange. My Roxi's are fine, they arent causing tummy aches.

I wonder what my doc would switch me to if i told him this. I know he prescribes Oxycontin so that's probably what he'd switch me to.

If I'm prescribed Ms contin 30 mgs 3 times a day, what would my OxyC dose be, about the same?

I'm just thinking outloud here.

I've had this problem before where i am fine on a med and than after using it for a while it starts to give me tummy aches. I know that if i plugged the MS contin i probably wouldn't get tummy aches but i can't find the right syringe, the 3 oral one's I've tried didn't work. I've used the ones that you squeeze and i know i need the one's that have a plunger. MAybe i can ask my Vet for one of those. Without the needle of course.

When i use the oral syringes that you have to squeese, the one's with those little balls on top, i squeeze and nothing comes out. I'm thinking because of suction. I don't know, it's strange lol.

I get headaches and I plug or IV, the needleless syringe I got for free at the pharmacy just for asking for one, no charge, but they might sell them too, might be different where u live

ROTFL... at first i thought you were serious till i got to the "My house" part.

I thought about calling my doc next week and tell him this, I'm sure he'd say to come in and we'll switch ya to something else BUT there would be one small problem... they'd want to see or want me to give them the Morphine pills and of course there would be a lot of them gone and that would be a problem, so i can't say anything to him until my next apt. If it wasn't for that I'd call him... but no worries, i can handle a little belly ache, I'm still gonna use them OF COURSE lol.

Maybe I'll try taking them with milk.

Another thing i am noticing about Morphine is they are more sedating than my Roxi's. I love my Rox's because they give me great euphoria, pain relief and so much energy. The Morphine doesn't do that and that's probably why i don't like them as much. They do give me euphoria but not the kind i like. I'd really like to switch to OxyContin and i am more than positive my doc wouldn't have any problem switching me. But, we'll see.

Is it just from your most recent script of them? And when did you get em filled? I got mine yesterday (the abg ones from walgreens) and I have puked a few times from em, which is quite unusual. It's probably unrelated, and I just took too much, but its a weird concidence, all the same.

hmmm, well mine are the Mallies. It's probably just a coincidence. No i actually noticed this with my last script but it seems worse this month.

If you got switched to OxyContin, you'd probably be given three 20mg pills per day based on your current MS-Contin 30mg TID.
