'Go pills' and 'No go pills.' Leave it to the US military to embrace pharmaceuticals as a way of controlling the masses

go pills are dexedrine, sometimes now they use that new crap modafinil. back during the afghanistan invasion some figther pilot that was on dexedrine accidentally dropped a bomb on some canadian ground troops.
it is an excellent idea. one of my friends who was in the army said they would take valium sometimes in Iraq.
using chemicals to create super soldiers is a practice that goes back to the beginning of history. the romans gave opium to their soldiers. the word assassin may or may not come from the word hashish, but there are stories of assassins using hash before doing their job.
my friends in the military all agreed that stimulants and other drugs are/would be useful in combat situations for many different reasons.

"Hashashin" is the root word of "assassin" or I was taught that in college. Don't forget about the Viking Berserkers who feasted on psychedelic mushrooms before battle!

I can see going on a killing rampage on mushrooms
but I cant see smoking a shit load of hash and feeling
like killing anybody, maybe they smoked or ate the hash
AFTER the killing. I never bought the story about the root
of the word assasin. Doesn't make sense.

I think I could murder alot easier if I was stoned. If thats your DOC, and you're an assassin, you gotta do what you gotta do. What would be better, coke? Naw too jittery. Tweak? Nope, not in your right mind, you'd make a mistake. Dope? Nope, you'd be weak like a kitten and half asleep. Hash it is, sign me up for a new profession!

Yep everybody is pretty much right. The OLD "go pills" were dexedrine andI guess they still use it in "extreme" situations like those 24 hour missions to bomb Afghanistan while takin' off from Missouri, but most of the time it's "Provigil" (modafinil) which is total mutherfucking CRAP!

The "no go" pills used to be Valium, and I guess if you took some dex, then they'll give you a fatass dose of valium to come down, but if'n you got modafinil, you get AMBIEN (zolpidem).

That's the story on the "go" vs. "no-go" pills.

But all militaries, for all time, have used mind altering chemicals to enhance the fighting ability of their soldiers. Absolutely nothing wrong with it. If you want to win, you'll give drugs to YOUR soldiers.

(and Hitler was a major meth freak, unbeknownst to him - at first at least - they told him it was 'vitamins' - in a hype, riiiight) anyways, they said during strategic meetings with his henchmen, he'd swill mineral water and shout out orders. Fucking asshole.

from what i've read provigil isn't as bad as you'd think, people here just knock it cause it's not really recreational. it just keeps you up. never tried it but it sounds almost like tramadol: it keeps you focused, alert, and definitely awake, but it doesn't give you too much excess energy or make you jittery, etc. i'd love to try some someday, they're unscheduled but fuckin expensive as all hell since they still have a patent i think.

I'm telling you I took one 200mg one and was glad when it was over! It indeed put
"the edge on".

AND be careful about "trying" to get more effects from it;
I found a full-on raging, pounding skull beating headache
would develop that required double my pain meds to even take the edge off of it.

It nearly gave me a migraine I think ~
why else did it seem that the pain radiated clear into my eyeballs?! :(
