Preping MS Contin 200s for IV

Hey all,

I got some M 200 MS Contin morphine tablets, and when I tried to prep them for injection they gelled up on me. Anyone know how to break through the anti-abuse mechanisms for this pill?

I've read a lot of info in a few places, I want people's experiences because it seems no matter what I use, cold or hot water, the solution still is gelling up over and over again.

just to save time here it is as fast as possible, at least this is how i do it.

-wash the coating off with water,all of it, its got titanium dioxide or some shit in it, dry the pill
-put pill in large clean metal spoon, smash pill to fuck with something clean i use the back of a teaspoon (everything should always be clean thats a given)
-put 3mls of water in spoon with pill, apply heat to underside, but not long enough to rapid boil, once it starts to bubble give it a 3 count then put it on an ice pack to bring the temp. down. by now you should be seeing the glug float to the top.
-put another 1.25mls of cold water in the mix, wait 2-3 mins, stir it if u think ur pills not fully dissolved
- get ur filter if u dont have access to wheels u can use a ciggy filter some cotton or pull apart a tampon and roll some of that into a ball, works a treat.

there, that usually gives EXACTLY 3mls of injectable shit, no floaties and all glug either trapped in cotton or left on spoon.

if u have no heat smash pill, add water, stir like a madman for 8mins then filter and whack.

hope its not too little too late. is this what everyone else does with their conti's?

That only works on certain forms of MS Contin. I was just like you, doing it the exact same way, but my pharmacy changed generics and I was left with a gooey mess even doing it the old way which once worked. So I started crisping them and that took care of it. So I would say that if you try one way and it doesn't work, try the other and it should. Either crisp or crush and heat.

i've never done the crisping thing im not entirely sure what kinds of pills u do it with. only get one type of conti here, they're all from Mundipharma, bless their little cotton socks. thats not to say they're the only ones producing morph they're just the only ones labelled MS-contin.

From my own experience, I've only had to ever crisp the ABG ms contin generics. Since you're on the other side of the world, you may not get those particular generics. From the sound of it (lucky fuck) all you get is name brand? Izzat right? I am Rx'ed 3 of the 30 mg's a day, and those ABG ones are the only (so far) that you have to go through all that with. I suppose it couldn't hurt, but whatever.

i guess they are name brand, they never come loose in bottles they're always individually vacuum sealed in foil packages one by one. i think our conti's are colour coded the same as urs. 10mg tan, 30mg purple, 60mg orange (all contain lactose) 100mg grey (commonly referred to as grey nurses heh) and 200mg green.

in austria they give u among others also the green 200mg ERmundipharmas for maintenance,4 is the most,i get 4,but chose another brand cause those little beads are easier to prepare.mundipharma must be a giant
if u get da same on da other side of world and yes,they are quite gelly.best to u down under.
