Okay...so I just need to ask. Can you cop a good buzz injecting Methadone? I've had two doses today, and I feel like the w/d's are held off, but (and I know...it's retarded...) I really, really miss shooting up, and will try to reconnet with someone I know on the east coast to see if I can score some heroin, SOON! I'm just going out of my freaking mind...

I understand Methadone works very good orally, but (since I get the white tabs from the pharmacy) if I dumped 10 - 20mgs at once, will it hit hard enough to call it a good buzz? Again, I'm taking it for pain, not to kick a habit. My doc saw what OC was doing to me, and felt Methadone was the better of two evils...

Even the most experienced IV'rs end up OD'ng (and often the fatal type) trying to shoot dope on top of the methadone because you wont get nearly the same if any rush doing it and it wont seem like you're that high, and then poof you're out forever. Don't fuck around with that......if you get on a high enough dose the cravings should go away.....is that what you want? If you want to consider giving methadone a shot you gotta take a high enough dose....if you're gonna shoot, shoot but not on top of the 'done. If you can try to give done a shot it blocks mosts cravings after they get to the right dose. I personally know alot of people who've OD'd doing this, and they weren't newcomers.

EDIT - I see you want to inject methadone? Nah......just take it orally. I would seriously eoither consider what you wanna do be it getting on a high dose and not shooting or just shooting....don't do both.

There is no point iving it. Just eat it, methadones bioavaliability is very high anyways and there is no rush. Save you viens for good shit, seriously I know u really wanna try....but it's pointless.;)

Be careful it is very easy to OD mixing methadone with other CNS depressants. Even by itself it can cause severe respitory depression. After a dose of 80+mg of methadone it begins to block other opiates. Since you are taking 200mg doses, it would be worthless to use any other opiates because they would not be able to get into the receptors because of the tight bond methadone has on those recpeptors. Use your head, no buzz is worth your life.

Yeah bro, just eat it. Methadone works best that way, and plus, from people that have lots of exp. shooting dope and related, meth doesn't give a rush, and like so many others have said, it is VERY easy to OD...

I think you might have misread my dosage. I'm only taking 30mgs/day. 10mgs x 3 (once every 8 hours). That's a very low dose, and is just enough to help a little with my pain, and keep w/d's at bay for about 5hrs. by the time I dose my 2nd time, I'm already feeling pretty anxious. I know it can take up to 5 days for the body to reach peak blood levels, so I'm hoping I get a little more stable. I do have a follow up with my doc next Tuesday.

Believe me, I know it sounds rediculous, and I wish I wasn't this way, but with the low daily dosage, I feel it will be easy for me to skip my evening take and fix the next day safely. I wish I weren't this way, but...

Methadone is effective orally, and you guys are right, it's best to just leave it at that...

It is a DRAG! The only connection I had to H here (tar) cleaned up his act with Subs, (which I will say is a HUGE achievement! I'm totally proud of him and support his decision 100%), and wants to stear clear of any involvement with cop'ing. I'm without any connection. I do have a friend in RI I lost contact with recently, and if I can connect with her, I know I can open up a portal. I have TONS of frequent flyer milage, so I'm willing to fly out and back same day to avoid having to ship. (although, been there/done that many times successfully!).

Yeah, I am going to stay away from iv'ing the methadone. After reading all the stuff I have on the net, it is pretty frightening. I just really, really want to fix SOONER than later, and it's driving me nuts! :(

Hopefully you aren't thinking about shooting done anymore. And you know how much fillers and all there are? And oral bioavilability about 90% or even more, but all that very slowly of course.

the word "buzz" is a subjective term. How do you quantify it? do you mean sedation? All forms of methadone produce it. Do you mean "rush." Injectable ampoules DO produce a very slight rush. Only the ampoules though. Do you mean instead what most opiate/opioid users mean, "euphoria?" Nope. Methaodne is not capable of producing euphoria at all.

All morphine class analagesics are subject to a set of parameters called the "Morphine Rule." It has 4 parts. Sadly, methadone is missing the one of 4 rules that is responsible for euphoria:All substances need a CH2-CH2 group directly attached to 3 other carbon atoms which in turn ae themselves attched directly to a tertiary nitrogen atom. Methadone instead has a CH3 group attached to the second carbon atom of CH2-CH2.

Oral methadone should NEVER be injected in any form, even the tabs. The contain an umpteenth amount of binder and filler. the solution is worse but tabs should also be taken as is. Besides, the oral bioavailability is so high as to make it senseless to try and inject it.
