My doctor recently prescribed 'Vicoprofen" 7.5/200 mg instead of my normal 7.5/500 mg Lortabs. The label on the bottle states:

Hydrocodone 7.5/200 IBU Qty 120

I assume the IBU is IBUprofen (?).

Can the cold water extraction procedure be utilized with ibuprofen-containing compounds?

Thanks!

wouldn’t worry to much to cant remember the numbers but ibuprofen is not very toxic at all you can take grams and grams of it, but do look it up

hey did you ever do that CWE? If so, how did it compare to a CWE with a tylenol-based hydrocodone compound? I just got 60 of em and would like to possibly do an extract even though ibuprofen is reletively safe, although I can't find the exact numbers on this, anyone know?

in most cases i can't think of a good reason to do a CWE on vicoprofen. just swallow the thing!

yep, oddly enough, I always found the vicoprofen to be profoundly weak. I strongly believe that you get more out of an h/apap pill than an h/IBU. I can take a 7.5/500 and feel it as much if not better than my 10/325. I've never cwe'd a vico but I've taken enough of them to know the apap helps me a lot.

As far as I know, and if I'm wrong I'm sure one of our fellow associates on opiates will correct me if I'm wrong (which is probably very likely) Ibuprofen is very hard on the stomach, I have an uncle who suffers from chronic pain who ended up in hospital with bleeding ulcers which he was told wass a direct result of swallowing too many ibuprofen on an empty stomach too often. In my experience, not all by a long shot; but still a significant amount of opiate abusers are also alcohol abusers and as far as I know it is important (for everybody) but especially alcoholics to only use ibuprofen after food. Incidently as a heroin addict, I do find that ibuprofen help if I have toothache, abscess pain or similar, although I don't know if this is psychological as early on in my using career, someone said that ibuprofen was one of the only off the shelf remedys which would continue to work on the minor ailments mentioned above for those addicted to heroin. I'm no chemist and am completely in awe of some of you lot with your knowledge of drugs and their components (I'm sure that's the wrong word but u know what I mean).
