This facility is located near where I live and I, having just found out about it from a friend, am skeptical to say the least.
Does anyone here have any experience with such a program and if so did it work for you?
For those who this is news to I wonder what your first impression is.
Please do read the information in it's entirety before commenting and thank you for your input in advance.

I'm gonna bump this....I normally don't do this but I'm really hoping to get some feedback and I think that maybe some people may have missed the thread when I originally posted it.
Even if you don't have any experience or know anyone who has tried this I wonder what your first impression might be of it.
A friend of mine, actually a friend it's not me, is going to be investing a lot of money in this into this program and while I think the possiblities for his recovery is great I just want to see if there is anything we may be missing. I don''t want to spend all the money that is involved with it only to fail.
If he thinks he's depressed now he surely would be after spending all that money (12,000$) only to wind up back in a methadone clinic.
Thanks again to whomever may post their thoughts.

I think there's probably some truth to it, but I bet it's just a place where you pay thousands of dollars for a bottle of Centrum Complete.
Why can't they just accept the fact that opiate addiction is an endorphin deficiency disorder, prescribe people their drugs, and get on with it. I swear we Americans overcomplicate things with our "morality." Actually, legalisation would help Bush. By legalising the drugs, you get rid of the black markets and crime, which frees up god knows how much money wasted each year on a futile drug war, thereby allowing the money to be spent on his "war on terror." It would also undermine the opium market in Afghanistan because prices would drop if opiates were legal, thereby cutting their source of revenue to fight back. God, government is so stupid.

I am new here so hello fist, I know nothing about this place you are talking about. But I will say this. I've been through many detox centers (rehabs) and the only time it worked is when I changed everything after that: my friends, my playthings and my playgrounds and I did it for me not anyone else. I continue to go to NA, AA ect and have been cleen for over 10 years the void drugs left were filled with something greater than myself and a busy life full of family who don't run in the other direction when they see me coming anymore. I actually have an awsome and pretty normal life although I am not normal (of course I haven't looked at the statistics on that) So I continue to hang around people that are going in the same direction I want to go in they are my biggest influence. Good luck with your friend. Peace

.
There's definately a lot more to it than whats contained in a bottle of centrum but I think you said that in jest anyway.
I do know that for the first week or so of treatment you will be on a constant flow of vitamins and minerals through an IV. THat and there is a certain chemical....Supher -Something or other that is the main part of the treatment. I just cant remember the exact name of what it is.
Either way their success rate speaks for itself and those that have succeeded have been able to maintain their cleanliness.
As far as everything else you said goes I agree for the most part but dont want to get into since its a little off topic but thanks for your input either way.

As far as your post water lilly I have nothing bad to say about your average run of the mill rehab other than that it doesn't work for everyone. A lot of people are actually repulsed by the entire thing. I would fit into that category but as I said it does work for some people and who am I to say that they are wrong if they are happy with the results.
Although what people can sometimes turn into, once completeing a "Higher power" based rehab program, is sometimes something much worse than where they were prior to it or at the very least its just a slightly lesser of two evils . I won't get into but I will say that the higher the horse you sit on the more painful the fall will be.
Good luck to you on your journies...
