Yeah,you know the most tempting thing for me sometimes?
Even though I dont use opiates like I used to? ( Just pharm opies, once in a while)
Well, drug stores and hospitals and veterinarians around this state of mine deliver all there Pharmies(well..most of them) using a plain car and a dressed up salesman.
He/She gets outta the car and pops the trunk,grabs some boxes and just walks on into the delivery point.

Well that may be true for some of the stuff, but a nurse I know told me that they deliver some strong stuff to respite homes and convalescent homes also.
But I dont think I could do that to the old people..................

My buddy used to work at a Rite Aid which was undergoing a remodel that left the pharmacy surprisingly unprotected. He knew the alarm code and everything. His instinct of self preservation was greater than his desire to steal opies, however. A perfect opportunity lost.

A veterinarian is always a tempting target, too. As long as you dont fix and nod out inside like John Conner from T3. I guess my Mom used to hit up vets offices back in her junky days with her boyfriend at the time. They got caught and the guy took the fall for them both. Feeling indebted, she had to sneak in baloons for him for years after. Pretty sketchy work.

I wouldn't be surprised if the 'delivery guy' had a Mac 10 under his suit coat. This operation will need to be planned out to the letter.

My wife manages a vet practice. They get a box full of hydromorph, morphine, and all the other good shit right off the regular old brown UPS truck about twice a month. There is no indication that its drugs or from a drug company on the label.....you'd have no way of knowing.

Thing is if I ever grew a pair and stole say a case of percocet, id go through them just as fast as if i had 90. The more I have the more I do. Sucks. Its the root of my prob, I buy in bulk then subconsciencely I say to myself "You got 20 of em, one or two more aint gonna hurt."

my mother-in-law was on home hospice care up until her passing...she got a fat delivery monthly (OCs, Oxy IRs, liquiy Oxy and Morphine as well as a grip of benzos and some other random treats) right off of the FedEx truck.

If noonne was home to sign, he'd leave them by the door.............Almost diverted a package once, but I reminded myself that my "scumbag" days ended when I left the penitentiary. And I loved my M-I-L.

Scheduled drugs are, in most states, sent from the manufacturer to a distribution warehouse licensed as such by the State. To be a licensed distributor of narcotics in my State, the owner of the distribution warehouse has get a special license from the State version of the DEA, which requires the distributor to have all sorts of technical and administrative safeguards to protect the drugs, and the warehouse undergoes regular inspection by the State version of the DEA, too. Plus the actual DEA has to license the distributor, too, I believe. Don't forget, folks, these days everything is taped by videocamera. Absent stilts and a Groucho Marx outfit, you likely wouldn't get away with stealing from the distributor's warehouse or a pharmacy. Plus, I think you'd likely be subject to federal and state prosecution.

Speaking of vets - I was at my in-laws house the other day and noticed that their damn little yippie dog HAS A HYDROCODONE SCRIPT for a pill with some sort of anti-tussive (coughing) medication in it. I wished like hell everyone would leave the kitchen, but noooooo, everyone hung out and I couldn't even pick up the bottle to check the dosage. I wouldn't steal from a person that needed it, but a dog with a cough that I never heard during my 6 hour visit?? Sorry, but next time I've over there, that little dog is gonna be missing some meds if the milligram scripted makes it worth my while. Of course, the dog weighs 10lbs, tops, so it's unlikely the script is worth a human's time.

Hmm... maybe one of my dogs just developed a cough... hell, I have three 50lb dogs... might add up to something... ;)

I used to work for a company that had a shop that was right behind the loading docks for a company (don't remember the name) which was packaging and shipping scheduled(I'm pretty sure) pharms. I don't know if stuff was actually produced there, but certainly packaged and shipped in bulk. I saw lots of empty packaging material in the dumpster often. At the time I was very actively addicted so I spent alot of time on the clock daydreaming of a way to get some free treats. The place was locked up tighter than a drum cameras on all entrances/ exits and they seemed to be well aware that they were a target. Considering sometimes narcotics are stored at fortknox in the same vault as all the gold I don't think it is too easy to knock one of these places off. It sure is fun to think about though.

About 10 years ago i worked for a drug store and we'd get our loads in and they were all put back into the wherehouse. The Pharmacy stuff had a red twisty tie around the plastic box but the boxes looked just like the rest of the stuff, loads of shampoo, band-aids etc. And one time not thinking while i was working on load i opened the pharmacy box (i forgot what those darn boxes are called) and the first thing i see is a huge bottle of Hydrocodone. At the time i was heavily into Vicodin but i didn't have the balls to steal it. I would have been caught for sure. So i just stood there stairing at the darn bottle. I thumbed threw the rest of the stuff, there was Oxycodone and a few bottles of benzo's. These were the big bulk bottles. The hydro bottle i think had 1000 pills in it, it was the 5's. Well now a days i hate vics and 5's would do nothing for me but back then that would have been the most beautiful score for me. But i didn't want to get fired or put in jail but i tell ya, for about 5 minutes i sure thought about taking the damn bottle. I was the only one back there, i had been assigned to do load that morning.

In retrospect, i should have just taken the bottle. It wouldn't have been noticed missing till the next day and they really wouldn't have known who tool it. Yes i was the only one assigned to load but i left the pharmacy box open for a while so if i had taken it they probably wouldn't have known who did it but would have had suspicions. Who knows what would have happened. The pharmacist was a real dork and a weird guy.

One time i had a script for vics and i had 4 refills from a dentist and every 2 days i'd go back to the pharmacy and ask for my refill and he kept doing it LOL. He knew me for 3 years so he probably just didn't want to say no to me. But one time he took out a piece of paper and wrote down how much tylenol causes liver damage ROTFL. That was his little hint to me that he knew i was taking to much but even after that he always filled my refills. A few months later i got vicodin from a reg doc- 100 a month so he knew something was up and that i was abusinf but he never stopped filling my scripts and never said anything but the liver damage stuff.

I also did something kinda bad in regards to that pharmacy but i don't wanna say what i did LOL. Since i worked there it was easy but i wish i had never done it, i could have gotten in big trouble. I think i'll keep what i did to myself. I regret it and wish i hadn't done it, i was soooooo stupid but i didn't get caught so that's one good thing.

I worked for so many drug stores in my time, as a cashier, load, camera dept, pharmacy. But this one particular drug store was so easy to do things, bad things lol. I only did it twice and after that i started realizing how stupid i was. I would never ever ever ever do anything like that now.

Yeah its 5mg hydro with an anti-cholinergic called homotrpoine methylbromate. They put that in there more than anything because the side effects of it suck so therefroe you cant abuse the hydrocodone as much as you would like. Its still good so long you dont take over 3-4 at once.....

Thanks for thinking of the name... kept slipping my mind. Yes, I actually love that stuff, but you're right about not taking too much... the best hydro to me is the cough syrup combined with the hydro pills... ooooooh, so speedy, so euphoric! I feel like I can do ANYTHING on that stuff.

I'm the only person alive who can't wait for cold season to begin... my PCP always scripts the cough syrup for colds, even if you don't have a cough! He's old, so I hate that he'll probably retire soon. Sigh.

Basicly it was like he wrote a math problem down on a piece of receipt paper from the register. I think he just wrote what you said "4000mgs of tylenol can cause live damage" but he also said it outloud and i remember he was pointint to the 4000mgs with a ball point pin ROTFL. Oh yea, i also remember he said "Hey the opiate won't hurt you but the tylenol will"

We do need more up and positive posts around here. Junkies are generally sad or depressed people so we get a lot of that around here. Sure, some of us are happy, i am pretty happy... that is... when i am oppiated lol. But Junkies have a lot of grief and shit in their lives a lot so a lot of the posts are about that stuff and there isn't anything wrong with that, it's good to have a place to vent. But, seeing some positive and fun posts is so great ya know.

My little pooch gets butorphanol (aka Stadol) because she had a nasty leg surgery a year or two ago. She has lots of scar tissue and she's definitely in pain without them.

It's funny to watch her after I give her a pill; about 20 minutes after her "dose", she starts to nod off. First one eye will start to close, then the other eye, and before you know it she slumps down and sleeps for an hour or so.

My dog the junky. :D

That would be great. I don't mean a remake of 'Drugstore Cowboy" or a part 2 but a movie that is simular to DC. A more updated type movie with the same theme- robbing drug stores. Things have changed a lot since the era that movie took place in ya know. I'd love to see a new movie about robbin' drugstores. But it would have to be made in good taste, no summer movie type thing, no major hype, just a good movie.. maybe an indie movie. I'd actually love to write something like that. I've written a lot in my life but rarely finish anything. But, I'd love to write a book or a story about robbin' drug stores. I have no experience accept the one or two things i did when i worked for a drug store, nothing major but i think i could write something good.

Maybe we could all write a collective story. A book full of short stories about drugstore robbin' LOL.

I hope that's a joke for someone who was telling other fiends to get a job not too long ago, thats theft and usage! If the dog didn't have the cough that was probably why. Dogs can feel pain too, but they cant do anything about it like humans can, so that can actually be even more cruel.

I agree... if the dogs not coughing it's probably because he's on the medication or they use it when he has flair ups, maybe he doesn't cough all the time. I've done some shity things but that i couldn't do. My rats have been prescribed narcotic pain meds (IV) and i never had the heart to use their meds. I'm not judging that person, I'm just saying i couldn't do something like that. I told that story about my rat before, how she had a spider bite and was in so much pain and i had a needle filled with that pain stuff, i forget the name of it- B-something, she was in so much pain and although i did think about it i didn't have the heart to use the meds for myself and that day i had nothing, no pills no nothing.

My dog got a couple good little pills after he was snipped and i couldn't do it either. Sure i thought about it lol but i couldn't do it. He wasn't even in that much pain but when i felt he was uncomfy i gave him his pill. I forget the name of it now but it was some good stuff, i remember i looked it up on line.

If i was severely desperate and in extremely bad w/d i still do't think i could do it.

Please note, i am not judging anyone ok. I'm just saying what i could or couldn't do.

When I was in high school (67-71) A friend’s dad had a little warehouse in a field behind his house. We used it to work on our cars, one day we were drunk and started looking at the stuff he had in there and found a pallet of reds, secanol; great big jars like the ones you get them big pickles in. We took a box (something like 4000 reds) and became the most popular kids in school overnight.

Never heard a word about them missing either, never found anymore either for that matter.
