View Full Version : Do I dare?

Every few weeks or so I meet up with a sales rep from RI when I'm working in a factory in that area. We aren't like really good friends or anything but we have a good business relationship and we will go have lunch together and bullshit. Anyway, the time before last when we had lunch he was telling me how he got scripted 90 40mg Opana but only took 5 of them because they were too much for him to handle (he tore out his shoulder). I hid my excitement and said I would look up what they were since he was going on about how they knocked him out.

We met again 2 weeks later when I was working a job back in the area and I started joking with him saying "I looked those up and they are Oxymorphone and the does you have has huge street value". And he was joking back like "Maybe I should unload a few, I sure had to pay a lot for them".

So (you know where this is going) SWIM is meeting him tomorrow at another site (its been 3 weeks since we met up last). He usually calls from home when he is about to leave to meet up there. Does SWIM dare ask for a few and risk that it may get to SWIMs boss or just forget it.

Not that I give the best advice in the world, but I'd go for it.

Go for it, girl!!! You might tell him you're having some pain issues yourself.......;)

I would. Just say you have a pain issue. That way if it gets back to the boss you were simply asking because you have some pain.

I don't think it will hurt to ask. But, be careful how you do it.

i'd make the deal. ive done those at work with people before. bought sacks from folks out in the parking lot that work in my place, or even that worked for me. (i'm a supervisor at a bank)

he'd be FUBAR'd too so there is a conspiracy of theives type deal here that both parties ahve to trust one another.

Good point - and its not like he hasn't spoken about them the last two times I've seen him. If it comes back to bite me in the ass I can always say I was just joking around. I don't think he'd rat me out anyway, I've done a lot of good work for him resulting in a lot of fat commission checks in his pocket.

without that leap of faith i would have missed out on some good deals. your natural bs detector will help here, having the advantage of being able to analyze his behavior in past meetings, with a blind street deal you have no info to work with.

anyway as a sales guy it's all about the deal, the art of the sale haha this is just one more deal to him

if anything were to happen, just deny it and say he's an asshole and tried to get you to go out and get drunk with him. He's just spreading rumors because he's mad that you're not into him.

I'm gonna go for it - use the medical angle (calcified discs) and see if he'd like to save me the hassle of going back to the doctor, unload those meds he paid alot for and doesn't like and that I'd be happy to pay him, keep it confidential, etc. Hey it can't hurt and if the answer is yes there will be one more happier woman in the world.

Thanks everyone and, like slugbone said, let your BS meter be your guide!

You could always say that "a friend" is on them and could use a few extra- then you don't have to admit to taking them. I wouldn't want to risk it getting back to my boss personally, even if not done intentionally it may come up in conversation???

Damn, man! You messed it up when you mentioned the streetvalue. If you ask to buy them now, it'll look like you're a dealer or out to make a huge profit. You could have asked him earlier if you could have em for 50 bucks, but it's too late for that. Best you can do, is to ask him to give you a couple. If money comes up, let him do it...

And BTW: Please, nobody but a junkie, or at least somebody with an unhealthy interest in opies would look up somebodys PKs on the internet... You gotta cover your tracks better, man! ;)

Oh that's not a problem...I work for a pretty liberal place. My boss wouldn't care if he knew I was taking them, its just the solicitation aspect that could tick him off.

I told him they had street value as I was laughing and joking with him...never told them what it was or that I even believed they really did have street value and he's not the kind of guy that would think I'm a junkie looking to cop his script. Frankly, I don't look or act the part in my work life.

Well it turns out at lunch that this guy starts telling me that he has a problem with his son stealing shit and making bad checks and the cops are looking into it. So the last subject I wanted to bring up was whether or not he wanted to sell some of his prescription. I'll leave it for another day I think.

Just because Zen mentioned "street value" doesn't make her look like a junky.

Hell, everyone in the US (down to little old grandmas) know that OCs and the like have a high street value.
