Refill day is the 28th and I know Ill be out by the Friday the 24th. Is asking 4 days early simply asking for trouble ? Im sure every Doctor is different but just wanted some opinions.

How about some details, like what is it you are taking, how much, how long, whats your doctor like, etc.
Some doctors want you to be honest with them and some doctors are already over scripting you and don't want to attract attention (the bad kind). I'd say its worth a shot but I don't know the circumstances, you might be fucking up a good thing and better off copping off the street.

The Doc is pretty cool but Ive only been seeing her for a short time. The script is 180 oxy IR's (5mg). Im gonna call next Friday as Ill have some other things to fill (non opi's) and then School starts the next week so its just easier to get it out of the way. Hopefully she doesnt take a giant shit on me and tells me to wait until the exact date.

I hope not either, that sounds like a perfectly civilized request!

I get a similar script, and I tried to fill 4 days early once, and they told me to bring my bottles....I told em, I misplaced my medicine organizer, being I only had a few days left they were all in the organizer....they basically told me I was SOL.....once I made a fake airline schedual, and they filled me early....lol....stupid....peace

You're right, depends on the doc but it's really asking for trouble you don't need. Any way you think about it, you're asking to pick up before you should need it. IMO, the risk is too great! You could be called in to show them what you have, you could be asked to drug test, you could be dropped as a patient, your file could be flagged & noted (which reminds me, i saw an interesting in a pain docs office yesterday - I'll make a thread about it so I don't derail yours) etc. In this situation, I prefer NOT to risk my relationship with my docs - it's not that hard to come up with a way to deal with a couple of days without a script!

That would depend on your insurance company or if you are using insurance to fill it. Most insurance companies will allow you to fill when you are at 80 - 90% of one month (80% is day 24 and is usually the absolute earliest). This has really nothing to do with the schedule of the drug other than the company is less likely to override an approval for a controlled substance.
Pharmacists can refuse to refill early (if you were paying cash), but that has nothing to do with scheduling laws either and would be a case where they would claim it could be dangerous to give it to someone too early. If you had a decent excuse and didn't mind possibly alerting your doc to the fact that you are out of meds, you may be able to get it through.
The fill by a certain date part is just to make sure your refills all fall within a 6 month period. This is law, you may fill a c-iii or c-iv 5 times within a 6-mo period.

This is more in line with what I've seen or heard. I can't belive you made an airline schedule! Was it really a schedule, or did you try to make a ticket? I did have mine filled early once (my dad was having a trip-bypass). I had to bring in the ticket and baggage receipt as well as the surgeon's name and office information (and I was on staff at the same place this doc was!).

Nah, I went on Airtrans website, and made an official looking itinerary.....I used to make fake report cards in high school for people and charge em....and some other counterfeit things I wont mention.....but the fake itinerary worked great...they bought it big time....might try that again soon....peace

Oxy is sched II so that means no refills, right? He needs a NEW script from his doctor no matter what, i don't think there is any way to get around that.

If you act like an adult about it and play ur cards rights, you'll pull it off.

Yes, oxycodone is c-ii, would need a new script. In the quote that you requoted, I was commenting on the xanax script which is c-iii.
