whats the difference in these two as far as analgesia and euphoria matters difference? I know there are hydrocodone HCL And hydrocodone bitartrate and codeine sulphate and phosphate but what is the real difference here? Inquiring minds would like to know :)
I've had both in the past but its been a while for me to come to a conclusion of difference matters of effects
I assume their subtle but who knows
tylox and percodan come with the terephthalate oxycodone btw for examples

Each Percodan tablet (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tablet) contains the following active ingredients (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Active_ingredient):
4.5 mg (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milligram) of oxycodone hydrochloride (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxycodone_hydrochloride)
0.38 mg of oxycodone terephthalate (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxycodone_terephthalate)
325 mg of aspirin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aspirin).
4.5 mg oxycodone HCl is equivalent to 4.0338 mg of oxycodone.
0.38 mg oxycodone terephthalate is equivalent to 0.3008 mg of oxycodone
oxycodone /oxy·co·done/ (-ko´don) an opioid analgesic derived from morphine; used in the form of the hydrochloride and terephthalate salts
Basically HCL (hydrochloride), SO4 (sulfate), etc are different salts of XXXX opiate. While basically the same same drug they may act slightly differently once injested. Oxycodone terephthalate seems to be used only when combined with ASA (aspirin). Where is OxyC or robo when you need them?

^^^ I thought oxycodone was derived from thebaine? Or maybe the definition is just being vague, as thebaine also comes from the poppy. Something like that, right?

You are right it is Thebaine, I think the article was just generalizing.

There's no real difference between the different water soluble salts of opioids effects wise, provided you adjust for the molar mass differences.
For example, if you hypothetically had many different salts of oxycodone and weighed out 20 mg pure oxycodone hydrochloride and 20 mg pure oxycodone acetate, the pile of oxycodone hydrochloride would be more potent and would feel more potent, because the % of the mass that is oxycodone is larger in the hydrochloride salt than the acetate salt. That's because the acetate anion has a higher molar mass than the chloride anion.
Side note: oxycodone is monobasic and hydrochloric acid and acetic acid are both monoprotic, so the molar concentration of oxycodone cation and whichever anion would be equal in both solutions.
