Uh-oh... Am i fucked?

Howdy everybody...

I've been a bad boy... After using opies straight for a couple of months (Sometime every other day... Methadone, hydro, whatever I could get my hands on...) A couple of weeks ago I started to get a 40mg methadone habit every day/every other day, purely to get high (Yup, I know some people think it's pretty stupid)

I got scared that I might get wds from the methadone, so two weeks ago I switched to about 100 mg Oxycodone a day. My time is up. I know I gotta take a good long break, but have I saved myself from the methadone withdrawal by getting OCs? Basically what I'm asking, am I going to WD from the methadone, or from the OCs?

And would it be an idea to do methadone for a day or two to ease the WDs?

Also... I have 2 mg of buprenorphin. Would a single dose of that be any help at all?
(I'd figure I post in here since it's methadone-related, and hey... If you know your methadone, you probably know your way around OCs and WDs :) )

Man wds are wds and it's gonna hurt eventually.

After saying this done wd lasts a lot longer.So,it's better to switch to a short acting opiate and taper.

I dont think so because the bulk of your habit came from the OCs. I was on dolophines for 6 months and got changed to a fent patch, if I were to kick, I'd only be sick for a week not a month like for the dollies.

Just a guess though.

IMO oxys'll be easier to kick...one really expensive clinic I went to, to do quick detoxes off of methadone, switch'ed us over to oxys for a week, then over to bupe...methadone just goes on and on....but u start mixing them up, nobody can tell what kind of habit it'll be in the end...if yer like me, it doesn't matter much anyway...you'll do'em all until you're out...me I'd finish up the methadone, then finish up the oxys, then go find an island where there's no dope for a couple weeks...then....well, then's when I've never been able to figure out *what* to do... ;-)

I would switch to the oxy's to keep from getting done WD's..then slowly taper your OC's and then jump off. Use the sub on your second day when it' usually the worst ( at least for me)
You could try using small doses of done again for a few days after your OC tapaer but might get a done habit aqgain that quick.

Eventually it's gonna hurt..like others have said. An OC taper and getting some more subs would be your best option in my opinion. just my 2Cents. Let us know how you make out and good luck!

Nahhh, same old shit...I was kicking heroin a little over a month ago, and I was thinking, shit, does this crap *ever* end, it's like outlasted war, marriage, prison, college, friendship....but good old dope habit, and the misery of kicking, jesus, sure gets the cake for longetivity... :-(

Until heroin is legalized in the U.S. ... I'll never be free...l

Hmmm.... 24 hours since I took 30mg of OC, no withdrawals yet... Will I get lucky, or is it the methadone left in my system from 2-3 days ago... We shall see... WDs for me are usually just feeling really lethargic for a couple of days and slight muscle aches. Thinking about dropping 20 mgs soon, i might catch a slight buzz of it, and it might be good to taper. Oh, decision decisions...

the first day of w/d's arent really that bad just cold sweats yawning and anxiety. I usually am ok untill about the 36 hour mark thats when I seem to get the full blownd withdrawels, and day 3 is the worst after that you start feelin a little better everyday.

I've been kicking dope again, with the help of a few mgs of subs. anybody think I should try done next time, I've never used done for recreation or otherwise. And to the op, yeah you're probably gonna get some w/d's. I've heard ppl kicking done and having WD's for 3 weeks. And I don't know if anyone else agrees, but if you only get a little lazy and somewhat uncomfortable during the first 24-72 hours, I can only be jealous. Cause when I kick, its like being dragged through hell, then, every so often, finding yourslef lying in a pool of your own sweat wanting to tear your limbs off.

Just like everyone else said, dolo WD is maybe one of the worst feelings ever. Even Benzo WD wasnt that bad because seizures arent that painful until the day after.

You can get that shit for as little as 10 cents a milli around here if you find a desparate enough theiving crackhead(Detroit's finest). That was before we all found a consistent brown hookup

Ahwile back Vics were going for a tad under a dollar a milligram (:confused:) but methadone was rampant. An assload was cheap and considering the facts we had to do what we had to do. I liked to chip at the time and it was bad. Couple days on thatt shit and the first couple off felt like a blood pressure cuff encompassing your body. Over the day it would get tighter and tighter and tighter. I couldnt breathe. And this wasnt a drawn out run with me. Just a punk fucking redneck messing around with shit he didnt know about.

OC WD isnt that bad from what ive heard. Just remember to taper like its your last chance. Good advice for kicking any drug in my opinion.

Some of the notions I've got about kicking are absurd, but I believe them....but everybody seems to have pet horrors...but I think it's actually *easier* when u aren't so used to it. What happens, IMO, is that yer bod is trying to come up with anything it can, to get dope, and over the years it just gets better at it. My brain is the weakest weapon I got. If I don't put some distance between me and the dope connect, I'm doomed, I'll never kick. My brain is just too fucking good at saying "fuck it," and I go score. All the reasons I used to be able to come up with, to kick, no longer hold water. I've pretty much lost my fight, when it comes to dope.

I didn't even like this tar down here. To me, was some of the worst heroin I've ever done, and certainly the hardest on veins and surrounding areas...but I couldnt quit it. And when I was younger, I'd kick before I"d get on methadone. Now I'm at the clinic every morning. Dope wants it all, and it's a patient motherfucker....easy to get bitter. That's no good, tho...

but to the original poster: dude, just be careful with methadone...it's a long acting drug, hence the WD's are very long and painful...best thing is like what Duck was saying; try to taper off the done with a shorter acting opiate, then taper off of that opiate slowly and steadily, and u should be okay...and just so u know methadone WD's may not kick in truly for almost a couple days; not like other shit where in 24 hrs you are sick sick sick...careful, methadone *truly* takes a pound of flesh...and 40mg is a hefty dose, don't make that a habit cause you will have a painful time getting off 40...

Everybody's different, of course, but I found a week was about right, and that's what the clinic did. If we could get down to 30-40mg of methadone daily, then they'ed switch us to oxycontin twice a day40mg for a week, and then switch to subs, and I found that was painless enough. If u have enough discilplin to sit on oxys. I actually did, this last time, which still amazes me. I never know how I'll do, until I actually get going, but I'm usually without too much willpower, and always willing to say "fuckit" and do the drugs up...

One week, if u got oxys...

Here you say Done is in
your system from 2-3 days ago..
are you doing both?

So,you probably will
have Done WD's
and OC WD's.

To me-
OC WD's were worse
than powder H WD's.
I've been lucky and never
have gone thru Done WD's.

I'd suggest trying to find
some more Bupe to taper with.
Those 2 mgs aren't going to go far-
and make damn sure you're deep in WD's
from the Done before you take the sub.
Personally, I'd wait as long as possible,
and then split the Subs into two doses
and snort them.
2 mgs won't carry you far
but,it's better than nothing.

Also,buy some Kratom
and Advil for body aches.

Bro if 30 mg of OC lasted you 24 hours, shit your addiction ain't that bad, at least in my book. I had this friend ;), who at the peak of their addiction a 30 mg of OC would only last a couple hours. Shit, doin 4 to 5 80 mg OCs a day, no bueno. That's a $1,400 a week habit on the street, plus they was doin it toot toot style. Anyone know if it's true the circle real OCs got outlawed or the circle ABGs?
