well,....this is bad news.
Jonathan Ott's home in Mexico has been destroyed by Arson, the full article is available at Erowid.org.
Most of his book collection was not destroyed...but his, home, lab, personal items and livelihood have been seriously impacted.
there are rumors flying around that it was actually pissed off guests that did the deed.
for those who dont know, J. Ott is an author, prolific, about entheogens and traditional cultures that use them.
why is it relevant to opiophile?
J. Ott happens to be a somewhat outspoken advocate that opiates/opioids might have a future use as "smart" compounds, etc. He admits to using opiates, mainly codeine on a daily basis. I reckon that many of his books were written with the supportive tonic effects of opiates in his system.
